Quick question about cooling

I've modded my laptop with copper tape as a way to increase the surface area of the heatsink, would adding a layer of aluminum tape on top of the copper layer help in cooling? There is no airflow in the equation just metal to metal heat transfer similar to the pic below (the original mod).

It might aid in trapping the heat in the copper heatsink.
Much like covering a roast with alfoil while cooking.
More holes through the plastic casing adjacent to the copper would be better I think.

I thought as much, silver would work maybe to pull the heat from the copper but it would cost a small mint to do it. I got the copper tape because the heat transfer is better than the aluminum but it cost more than double what the aluminum tape did.
