I am trying to make my pc as quiet as possible. Right now I have the xclio good power 500, it could be quieter but not real bad. Anybody know a good psu that can barely be heard? 6-700 watts I want something that will last ~forever.

How is the OCZ for sound? I was looking at this:

I think seaSonics are known for beinging silent.. such as thier s series (s12?) and if you needd modular thier m series.. I have the m12.. humm if you can find a psu with a 14mm fam.. it should be quiet, I think enermax might make one.

The Be Quite is at an alright price, looks like a winner. Thanks for the responses.

No, I am not willing to spend $170 for a 620 watt. The Be Quiet is $99 for the $600 and $120 for the 700.

Besides $$$$ don't make the PSU better some of the higher priced PSU's are suppose to be crap.

Yeah but some other arent...
I mean the pc power psu its worth its money if i get wizzard right.

My own Be Quiet psu is quiet but not as quiet as the corsair is. The tpu test shows it rather clearly and my friend who owns a corsair say its clearly quiet and not as loud as my be Quiet.

So all in all some of the high priced psus are worth its money some arent.

I would suggest an Enermax they are quiet. They were recommend by Tomshardwareguide.com in the latest psu stresstest and from my own eyperience i can say they are quiet.

Depending on your power draw I have a hiper that i need to sell. If you don't use over 400w then it would be fine for you.
