Quietest hd 7870?

    Hey which vendor should i buy from? I was looking at the msi hawk hd 7870 but 46 dba or what ever it is, is too loud for my likeing so which one generates the least amount of noise? Not really bothered about temps

    Sapphire's dual fan cooler is quiet and cools great too.

    There all quiet.

    You can adjust the Fan with the overide so it doesnt spin high since you dont mind temps.

    I personally like the blower type cards since the aftermarket coolers just spray the hot air in the case and heat rises so your Memory and CPU/Motherboard circuits are getting the +50c straight to them.

    The quieter the better but I also dont like heat.

    I think Powercolor PCS+ is the quietest HD 7870 around

    Well quietest one will be the sapphire's duel fan setup but i didn't recommend that the more quieter the more heat so you should at msi hawk it will not be much quieter but runs very cool.
    I can judge that you will be building a gaming PC not a HTPC so why do you need quieter msi hawk runs very cool so you can oc it as well.
    So i will recommend MSI Hawk and if you still want quieter then Sapphire will be your bet.
    but really msi runs 58C at full load and sapphire runs at 67C at full load
