I have this baby on the way, should have it within a few days. This is sort of a "treat" to myself after having worked my arse off all year

Gonna be cooled by a 437W peltier, considering 4ghz is easily achievable on air, im expecting some nice things from this cpu, and it should have me well future proofed for a very long time. wewt!!

that would make perfect sense if the barbs were on the sides of the block so that the liquid actually moves in the path that the arrows show, but the liquid is coming straight down on top and it will be more like a v spread.

this is what im running my 2900xt loop on, ive got another one for my cpu loop, + 2 120mm blackice rads, tho may just use the pa120.3 + 1 120mm blackice rad

the pa120.3 is rated for 1kw cooling, think the blackices are just 250ishW each

I don't know for the money I think a phase might be better. Maybe not, I think that TEC you ordered could blow a phase out of the water.

I was torn between phase, but i have already installed another dangerden clear rez, to match my 2900xt loops one, and i already got 12ft easyflex 60 tubing to use. just think it will look better than having my case stand on a black box, with the uv blood red coolent that my 2900 loop uses + i already got my relay kit installed. the pelt setup was a few £100 cheaper than the phase, + id have to wait much longer to get ahold of phase that I could pay monthly for.

How do you plan on dealing with the condensation issues that this thing is obviously gonna have?Anytime you go sub-ambient there are condensation issues,case in point http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=Nzg5LDUsLGhlbnRodXNpYXN0....idk if the manufacturer has dealt with this issue or if it is supposed to be the consumers responsibility,but in any case what do you plan to do about it?I hate to use dielectric grease it's biotch to have to clean out at a later date.......I wonder if seal string would work?.......Oh yeah and congrats on the new rig it's gonna be a real beast in the wild

TEC cooling? The UK....I assume is a very damp/moist place, you'll have some issues with condensation. I'm interested in how you deal with it.....actually it's damp/moist here too Won't a plain-jane water-block be kosher?

You get that stuff you wrape pipes with and place it around the cpu, and on the bottom of the board. You can(should)coat the motherboard with plastic seal first, the stuff that they use on screw drivers, or clear nail polish.


Then you fill the pins in with de-electric grease to stop the condensation on your pins,



You can always stick your motherboard in the dishwasher to get the grease out(Remember to take the battery out first)

When you mess with a TEC, or a Phase this is what you have to deal with.

heh, ive been running TEC setups for nearly 10 years now

Im well versed with condensation prevention. I have acrylic pcb sealant spray, so ill cover essentials and spray my board, and basically just seal the neaprene shell with a rubber-type sealant glue. it shall be airtight and watertight

Looking sweet, as before with the Q-series, anything over q6600 is too expensive for me (retail at up to £500 for not much gain but then haven't seen Q9s around yet, am too slow and distracted by work)

Is that Arctic Web block water-cooling or Peltier or something? I've seen it advertised as different things on sites. I'm also slightly sketchy on my definitions of each, but that's not so major from the point I can take being laughed at if I have it wrong
