Nope none at all
Just typical black screens?
Turn off hardware acceleration in Flash Player. - To fix blue Screen / Restart.
Black Screens = Drivers crash
Never had that problem.
Nope, only black screen is when a over clock is to high. Black screen will go back to normal if left for a min or so but other wise no black screens
Hmm.. you guys don't know that if its common at all to have the problems im having?
EDIT: I've got a rev 1.0 version of the gigabyte windforce r9 290, if that means anything...
Does anybody have a Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290X Tri-X OC Bios?
Go look in the VGA data base ^
Do you have a R9-290X Vapor-X OC because if you don't the R9 290X Vapor-X OC BIOS will brick all cards that aren't the R9 290X Vapor-X OC.
I have the same card but the non-x version. A friend of mine was able to upgrade his sapphire r9 290 vapor x oc to an r9 290x vapor x by flashing the "x" bios. Unfortunally he hasnt the bios file anymore.
If the flash goes wrong, i can change the bios by a jumper on the card.

Scored myself an Asus DCUII 290 today.
Tri-fire time tomorrow!
Any tips on removing the cooler on this gpu?
Smart ass lol no shit.
Ok then a simpler question is the bios switch for different clocks and should I update the cards bios from Asus?
For elpida memory it clocks great! way more then my msi hynx memory
How much extra voltage did you add?
3x 290s for 1080P
Who says its 1080P?
Just because my sys info says a 27" don't mean I run 27 all the time...
It's for benching my man you should know that
Plus I got the card locally cheap cheap, like real freaking cheap so tri-fire is just going to be a test and out she goes when Im done lol
Just poking at cha bud
Benchers FTW lol. I was a serious addict at it
If you ditch one i might want it as i need a second as 4K is seriously rapping my 290X
I figured as much lol. I'll let you know this weekend if I'm going to sell it. Its a nice card.. Way bigger then my MSI gaming card and it works well. The bios flash sucked but I fixed that in a hurry in dos.
What's better for over clocking 2 different vendor cards? Trix or MSI an?
Ok i'll keep an eye out bud
I can't really say as the last time i ran 2 cards was with 2x HD 7870s @1215/1500 with MSI Afterburner
Yeah my Asus is clocked at 1000/1260 ,and the MSI is 977/1250 and trixx isn't very friendly when clocking to the same frequency.
My msi card is alot faster even though clocked lower.
Asus? what happend to you?
It's probably got loose memory timings.
Did you try individually clocking them with AB
Also will i lose performance by crossfiring a R9 290 with a R9 290X
