I just installed an R9 Fury, the Sapphire Nitro version, into my system (see specs) but it's only operating at x8 rather than x16. Any ideas why it's using just 8 lanes versus the 16 which are present? Is there a way to force it over to x16?
My R9 390 was running at x16, even in its low power state - I also removed the drivers before removing my old card, so I cannot point a finger at any one thing.
EDIT: Solved, by installing and removing an old PCIe nVidea card from another slot with the Fury in slot 1.
