What is the best OC and other settings (a newbie like myself wouldn't know about) to set this card to? I have decided not to flash it so don't post that as a sugestion. Thanks in advance, - McCaff

PS: What is Fast Write and should it be on or off?

9600 or 9800? I have a 9800 Pro Atlantis 256mb Sapphire. So if you've got a 9600 pro, if the clock's not at 500 for core then you can probably bump it up to that safely (the XT has 500), and I don't know how fast the ram can get. If you have a 9800 though, I went to 415 core (stable, you can go higher but there's artifacts after) and 390 RAM.

Its a 9600, right now its at 490/230 and no artifacts I have version 2.4 of ATItool and it shows with the 3d cube a steady 63 FPS. On previous versions of ATItool it showed much higher FPS so whats up with that? Anyone know? is it because of the new catalyst drivers I put in? I updated to 5.8 I used to have 4.12 maybe I should go back?

that 3d cube isnt much of an indication of anything.
its primary use is by the software itself to scan for artifacts.

you should benchmark your system and video performance with something that's dedicated to benchmarking. 3dmark, futuremark, aquamark, pcmark, are just ome of the benchmarking options you have. there really are alot of those out there.

the cube speed changes between versions due to changes in the artifact scanning code
