Hey so I bought two kits of ram not knowing that one of them was only 2x8 I wanted to have 32gb ram but decided on a decent 16gb kit instead. I want to know which would be best for my system, mainly gaming and doing everyday stuff I have these two kits. I think one is samsung being that the corsair is 4.31 on the back of the box and the other hynix or micron not sure..

teamgroup t force vulcan Z 3200 cl 16-20-20-40
Or
corsair vengeance LPX 3200 cl-16-18-18-34

My motherboard is msi b550 tomahawk max wifi.

cant speak for Vulcan as never used it, but i ran Corsair Vengence LPX 3600 8gb x2 with no probs at all on a B450 Tomahawk Max

Currently run 32gb Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL 3600MHz 8gb x4 on the same board.
I think newer bios updates have helped a lot with compatibility in last couple of years.

As long as your bios is up to date, i think either would prob be fine, altho best to check the QVL list on the website.

I'm outside the return window for both so I'm not sure if going to 3600mhz with 2x8 is worth it since CPUZ is saying I have samsung ICs in my LPX kit knowing problems with Ryzen and corsair ram compatibility on this forum (I'm scared of memory corruption of windows only using XMP setting) , I been thinking of buying a 32gb kit of ram in the future since I hit the 16gb limit in playing metro exodus .

At their rated XMP settings the Corsair memory is marginally quicker. The best bet is to check if either one is in the QVL for your motherboard. And use the one that is on that list, if only one of them are.

Memtest86+ is easy to use for testing memory. As long as you manage to get it on a usb stick, it will run itself and give a report when done. If that passes you are in the 99-100% stable region.

If that Corsair memory is Samsung B-die they are also very overclockable, but that is a whole different ballpark.

Yeah, it only shows the corsair ram being on the list saying it's samsung 5WB, I had a kit of B die years ago I might just try CL 14-14-14-34 while I'm changing the frequency or just bump up to 3600 first and test if stable?

Your motherboard has four RAM slots, did you try the Tforce vulcans and corsairs together? 32GB should be plenty there, of course you need to check how to pair them in DIMMA & DIMMB.
And yes with these AM4 boards, QVL should be a safer bet( I recently bought a set of 2x8GB vulcan Z 3200, CL16-18-18-38, for a MSI board, they were not on the QVL, did not work at all). I put them in another rig instead.

I don't want to mix them up with different ICs as don't think the vulcan is the same with it being cl 16-20-20-40 also I miss out on them being at the same speed.

Okay so I had some time and popped in the other kit of ram, it automatically set the timings the same as the corsair I ran AIDA latency test and it was worse at 71ns compared to 66.5ns if anyone can help maybe were I could get better results or if it's just a thing with 4x8 ram on ryzen since it puts more stress on the memory controller. Also wanted to know how my voltage is for ram?

I know it's sk hynix ram now but which one I don't know even google fu the serial number doesn't say anything.

get yourself 32GB and a dual rank kit (4x8 or a known dual Rank 2x16 Kit)
especially on ryzen single vs dual rank can make in some cases a difference of 10% for just 10-15 bucks more.
