random reboots

Good day everyone

i have recently installed a Antec neptune 240 AIO cooler to my system.

everything was working fine then all of a sudden it started restarting itself. According to the event viewer i keep getting ID41 kernel power failure

my specs are as follows

Asus Prime B360M-A
Intel Core I7 8700
8GB DDR4 memory
AMD Radeon 6800
Antec Neptune 240 cooler
Armageddon 700w power supply.

I know it is not the best system around but it works. There is no overclocking done on any components on the computer.

I have reinstalled windows on a new NVME but still problem persists.

i would appreciate any help and hope i am posting on the correct place as i am new to forums.

That psu will lead to Armageddon of your system. Get a Reputable brand such as XFX, EVGA, Seasonic, Superflower.

Sounds to me like you may not have the CPU seated quite correctly and/or it could be mounted a little too tight after the AIO upgrade, maybe start by loosening each of the mounting screws by half a turn to see if that helps, if not it's easy enough to tighten them back, I have had similar happen to me in the past.

Might as well pull the cooler and cpu to verify pins aint bent, I've only ever seen a system just never boot if pins arent correctly aligned in a zif socket.

But that psu is of major concern especially kernel 41...

You'll get a lot of good ideas from folks on the forums here, but if you don't provide the exact issue that's happening, you could be doing a lot of unnecessary work to try and fix something. Be very specific with your words because what you might say as "it started restarting itself", might mean something different for others trying to help you.

overtightening with a Waterblock/AIO is pretty easy.
my friend bought his first AIO last year and bent a lot of pins in his z490 Extreme4 just because he tightened the screws until they stopped.

2nd biggest mistake... you got what you asked/paid for by using this crapfest.

As others have said, get a REAL psu & cooler, throw those POS's in da trash can, & be happy

AIO dead out of box,I know first hand about this, equals thermal shutdown or bad mount since it just started after component placement. Not greatest psi either.

Event ID:41 usually points to the psu or ram. Should have said this. My AIO did both shutdown and event 41. Still look the cooler first. Not to long afterward my psu let me know when it went out. I saw the light!!!

The brand armageddon is questionable in build and yes either a psu or ram can cause the trouble. Checking cooler is a good idear for lga systems but i am definitely eagle eying that psu for replacement with a Reputable brand.

I'm not one to just dismiss a PSU because I don't know the name, but when I go looking for information on a PSU and I see that the manufacturer is not forthcoming about the actual specs of said PSU, then I'm ready to throw it in the trash.

Steps:
Do try backing off a bit on the mounting screws as @Tatty_One suggested above.
Replace that PSU!
