Ive spoke to a few guys that are playing Halo 3 and loving it, much like myself!

But also I keep hearing people on the net saying that its over hyped and just like the other 2!

Personally I would like to :slap: these people and remind them that if Bungie changed too much of the original Halo gameplay (that us Halo veterans know and love) it would no longer be Halo, it would be just another 'run of the mill' FPS with Master Chief slapped in it!

The old saying goes "if it aint broke, dont fix it!" and I think Bungie knows this ;)

Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 sold millions of XBOX consoles and Im sure that Halo 3 will be doing the same :)

If you dont like Halo 3 you must be:

a) not a true 'Halo' series fan

or

b) dead

Am I right in thinking it uses a Dual-Layer DVD+R? A rip is 6.18GB... my mates ripped it and sent it me. Now I need an X-Box to play it on.

All XBOX360 backups (of games you own on original also) have to be burnt to Double Layer discs, lol ;)

PS: you dont need an X-Box, you need an XBOX360

or just you just dont like Halo 3. why do you have to be a fan to like it? you might hate the other two but love this one - not a halo fan then and your not dead so i think all in all i just crushed that statement!

have fun playing it though - thats one game i do wish i could play on the PC

You do realise that a 360 backup wont just 'run' on a standard console dont you?

PS: it wouldnt matter if you had the best rig in the world, it still wouldnt run a 360 game (due to coding), or were you kidding LOL

I was talking in general about the people that are saying its just the same as the other games in the series ;)

I should rephrase it to:

If you dont like Halo 3 (but enjoyed the other 2) you must be:

a) not a true 'Halo' series fan

or

b) dead

;)

Meh, I can run PS2 games on my PC. And yeah, you need a modchip for a console.

If it's pirated you do. I've never been able to do it otherwise.

Incorrect m8! Old systems like the PSX, PS2, XBOX all required a modchip. The only ones that didnt were the Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast (the PS2 can also run backups without a modchip now)

But those days are gone ;)

all i can say is halo's strength is the multiplayer like always. single player is a disappointment imo. im not a halo fanboy but its darn fun on multiplayer.

It's really fantastic. I'm almost done, and I must say that Bungie have done the job I wanted and then some. Lots of new stuff, fun battles, and hideously irritating Flood psychopaths. Excellent, on the 360 it knocks Bioshock into a cocked hat...

And the story.... :)

Ok. Done. Finished......................:)

For anybody who thinks it's ok not to keep watching after the credits, you don't know Bungie! And, complete it on Legendary - there's a little surprise in store.

Sounds cool...

I beat Halo 1 with a friend on all difficulties... same with Halo 2, and now... I want to do that for Halo 3!
