Using the same PSU i'm using right now, see system specs <---- :)

Also, the Antec case seems to be the only one that will fit all this sh*t. My antec 900 won't do sadly.

What do you mean the 900 won't fit that? I had very similar parts to what I have now in an Antec 900 minus water.

Will this build be okay with m TX650W Corsair? It's about 18-24 months old, can't really remember. I really can't afford much more, trying to keep costs low. What kinda life-span do the TX650 Corsairs carry?

Also has anyone had much experience with the i7 930/950 series in terms of heat? I'm debating whether i can skimp out on the cooler and just use my Arctic Freezer 7 Pro off my E6600.

you'll be fine with the TX650. Hell, it might still have enough balls to push two 5870 cards.

Will be a nice build. The Corsair 650w psu should be more than enough for what you have listed for your build. Clock that i7 up and get some good tight timings on your memory, you will be very happy with it. :toast:

If I remember correctly, I tried using one of those coolers with a phenom2 965 and wasn't happy with the temps with it. The I7 generate alot more heat than phenom2 do to my understanding, I'd atleast get a better cooler than the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro. If money is a issue, you could use the stock heatsink and get a better one later when you build your money back up. At stock speeds, I'm sure that 930 will do what you want it to.

I think the i3/i5/i7 series actually are more thermally efficient than the C2D/C2Q/C2E series, so you should be okay with that cooler. I have the same cooler on an C2D E8500 overclocked to 3.8 GHz, and it keeps the CPU under 50C full load.

something like FRIO, Megahalems, Noctua, etc would be a better value cooling wise hell the H50 is a better value if you buy a 2nd fan for it. and all the above are far more cost efficient as well

Go with a sandybridge build I see no reason not to, they perform better clock for clock than i7 and it shouldn't cost you any more than the i7

Yeah, but the 6x motherboards are still afk and the PCIe lanes are much less. I think the 1366 platform is still good for multigraphics card setup for now.
