the onboard and dedicated are pretty much the same performance, its just a mix that one has better GPU power, while the other has better ram bandwidth.

decent. gimme a benchmark to run and i'll run it - so long as its 1280x720 or 1360x768 res

well that 1070 would be held back because it only used one GPU, since the main video card tests were DX9 (second GPU only activates for DX10/11 on APU crossfire)

Real men use real cores! Damn right! 9/10; lost one point for the non-windowed CM 960 :p

Yup, that's exactly it, BF3's already on Ultra so I don't need any more overclock really :) I had to overclock the FSB to get my NB frequency right; and when I sorted that I got my RAM to a nice speed/latency.
Tbh, it's actually my video editing rig but I haven't got the space/funds for a gaming rig so I'm being naughty and using it for both. I do feel a bit silly buying an uber-clockable GPU and running it at stock, but meh

That's a bit harsh :( Considering where he lives it's not that bad at all.

I haven't rated yours with the new addition to your cooling/graphics department. :)

    9.3/10 :rockout:

9/10 for the lappy, that's a beast overclock, how did you do it with stock cooling/why isnt it clocked that high stock? I know SFA about laptops, but my mates gaming lappy is constantly overheating at 1.60ghz (older gen i7).

EDIT: Here's one for the lulz... The system I just built for my girlfriend out of old parts lying around:

    • AMD A8-3850 APU Stock cooling no OC
    • 6GB 1333mhz DDR3 memory
    • Generic 1680x1050 22" Monitor
    • Generic Micro ATX board
    • Onboard graphics
    • 500GB HDD
    • Modern-looking compact-ish LG Case
    • Windows 7 Ultimate

Lol what do you guys think about that setup? Also what would be the score if I CFXed with a HD 6670 (the highest vid card you can CFX with llano onboard graphics).

On the plus side, It's very light and compact, thanks to no discreet gpu and the small case.

Ummm yeah buddy, you have a lot of fans. But I do appreciate your graphics and nice clock on the CPU. Did I mention a lot of fans?

Meh, not terrible, props for the SSD and GPU. 6.5/10; above mainstream. BTW did you mean 8.6 on the one you rated?

No I meant 6.8. I'm hard to impress. I think you are generous, I would only give myself about 4.5 . I'll give you 8.6 though.
