Apparently it is a i7-3517U, GT 640M LE (384 cores, 16 ROP, 21 TMU, 500MHz core with boost to 570MHz, 2gb DDR3/128-bit at 900MHz), and 8gb DDR3 1600. Performance looks pretty good, Anandtech's review shows you can do 1366x768 with medium/high graphics and maintain solid fps in a lot of games. This managed 60fps in Skyrim on medium, nearly 70fps in Dirt 3, and even BF3 would seem playable at ~40fps.

That review also has a Trinity based system in the charts, and while it scores well it does fall short of the hardware in the Edge. But I think AMD could make some hardware that would pair extremely well with a design like this.

I really like this concept though, but we are probably a few generations away from making this a must have. AMD's APUs should really go a long way in taking something like this into the mainstream, or perhaps even the new Haswell chips could improve usability and maybe not even need the GT 640M LE.
