This is a great deal,considering that it costs $150 plus shipping at Newegg and $140 on amazon. Last time woot had it I paid $75 for it. This is only $61. And if you register for googlecheckout,you can save $10, so it's only $51. Great soundcard, makes the crappy speakers and headphones I have not so rappy. Gave them surround sound. It really is a good alternative to the X-fi monopoly on the soundcard market.

ooh, this is their card. man a terrific deal, they were more than 150 at one point in time. This uses the cm (oxygen) dsp as in the auzentechs right? (minus the xfi auzentech of course)

kinda, they use the newer C-Media chipset found on the ASUS Xonar.

Nice to see the Price of the AC-1 dropping, though; perhaps it'll push Creative to lower their prices to be competitive.

Only real issue I've heard about the AC-1, is that it sounds it's best when partnered with Razer's HP-1 headset.
