So my Razer Blade was running hot and decided to repaste with Artic MX and when I tried to pry off the heatsink, I saw a short and smelled burning.

Can anyone help me identify what this SMD is? The laptop is running fine without any noticeable difference. I am undervolting on CPU and underclocking on GPU as well.

I'm guessing it's a fuse.

It looks like everything has a "P" in front of it for who-knows-what reason (PR for resistors, PC for capacitors, PQ for transistors, etc.) and it has a PF next to it. F usually denotes a fuse.

Just a guess though...

Edit: Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a fuse, it looks a lot like this.

Find another spot that says PF.

It could be a Cap for Power Factor Correction which is needed.

Get the pcb repaired or replace it before other parts are damaged.

@Bill_Bright ever deal with smt?

Here is another SMD marked with X and where each are located.

It's a Poly Fuse. A fuse that resets when power is removed. If the laptop is still working it's not a problem. Looks like something( like the heatsink) shorted to the terminal of the fuse so it's just the solder that's damaged.
