I ordered both of these last night. I'm actually looking forward to getting them, especially the mouse. The best feature on the mouse has to be the wired and wireless functionality. Both look kickass too. Anyone use any of these 2 and would like to give me some comments on them. :toast:

I had the Lycosa but didn't like it. Its a really nice keyboard to look at though.. As far as the mouse goes. I just got mine this past monday and you will be amazed at the performance this baby has in wireless mode. I will never buy another mouse again except for this one. Its almost too fast for my set-up, i have been playing CSS and @ 5600dpi my in game sensitivity is at .1880~lol less than 1!

Either way, you will be very very happy with your purchase. I suggest getting the RAZER Destructor gaming -pad http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826999030
My mamba responds flawlessly with the destructor

this keyboard leaves the Lycosa in the dust. if Jesus was a gamer he would be using a mechanical keyboard with cherry switches.

other mechanical keyboards (in order of least expensive to most expensive) iOne Scorpius M10, Gigabyte GK-K8000, Das Ultimate Keyboard, SteelSeries 6G/7G and Deck Legend.

I have a saying "don't run from my Das keyboard you will just die tired."

you know how some companies like to exaggerate fan specs? Logitech and Razer exaggerate tactile response specially Logitech they use the same plastic dome switches in their G15 and G19 they use in their $20 keyboards.

I will say one thing about the Lycosa I don't like the touch panel sometimes you have to hit it 10 times to respond. however that being said I would take a Razer over a Logitech because the key housings are flatter and shorter which makes it more silent and less travel time plus they have that rubber grip texture.

lol all keyboards look the same but it uses alps switches. put it this way when the ABS M1 came out when you hit a modifier key like CTRL + Shift it would register as CTRL, Shift. a testament to the tactile response.

I've received these 2 but I have comments.

1. Before when I touch the touchpad on the top right corner to try and turn the LED keys on/off or just display the WASD keys in blue LED, it worked but now when I press it, it don't turn off the
LED's no more.

2. I thought the Mamba mouse's Razer logo blinks (where the palm of my hand is resting on).

And are there any benefits installing the drivers for either?

Mamba has no LED Logo on the back of the mouse just the scroll wheel, battery indicator and charging dock. so your saying the touch panel isn't turning the LED off? you need to take it back. you wouldn't believe how many LED issues this silly keyboard has.

Also

1. When I take out the wire from the mouse, I hear the noise from my PC telling me "somethings been disconnected" and wirless won't work. The gauge on the side is going up and green going from 1 bar to 2 then 3 then back to 1 bar but when I take the wire off, don't work in wireless.

2. The toughpanel on the keyboard were working this afternoon and suddenly not working (now nearly 12am).

I'll reboot my PC and test the touchpanel.

It's ok. Touchpanel is fine. I found the problem: Change USB connection. It was plugged in the USB next to the mouse and I could press it once and it would work (AFTER UNPLUGGING THEN RE-PLUGGING) then after it won't work and now I put it in a different USB connection and it's working all the time now fine.
