Yep. I grabbed one too, even tho I don't need it. I just grabbed the Microsoft Sidewinder for $30 last week on Yugster.

Think of it as a Walmart mouse except it's got 4 times the DPI for bigger resolutions.

    got one

my $10 Logitech from walmart does great. its well made and durable and works good for games

but i've never had a "gaming" mouse before. and the ones i have seen have some fancy bells and whistles on them i wouldn't know what to do with

this just looks like a swoopy 3 button mouse to me. but the reviews are good and users seem to like it

    left4dead...here comes something new. i hope :(

Too small for my manly hands, but a good price for a backup mouse.

Pretty much why I bought it. Although, I have small hands anyway, and my Sidewinder is actually a bit large for my tastes.

Has anybody paid with PayPal before? It requires that I add a credit/debit card of some sort in order to pay, can't I pay using my PayPal balance? Finally have permission to buy, told my sis it was for my dad. ;)

I wouldn't put much stock into what you read ;)

the dimensions are 115 x 63 x 37 mm x 40 g. it uses the same Avago 3688 sensor the DeathAdder uses, has a thin USB cable so there isn't much drag and it doesn't have a rubberized coating on it, now there is nothing wrong with the rubberized coating Razer uses but it does tend to peel. the only problem with it appears to be the microswitches in the mouse sometimes they double click when you depress once, sometimes they squeak in any case applying some WD40 which evaporates rapidly can make a improvement. because of it's size, weight and the extra buttons are on the bottom this is a great mouse for claw grip players.

I know some of you in this thread use the OCZ Equalizer and I can tell you the Razer Salmosa is a significant improvement in terms of speed and tracking. the shape and comfort is up in the air. the OCZ Equalizer is stuck at 125Hz and even if you overclock the USB port to 1000Hz and it says it's at 1000Hz the mouse will still be stuck at 125Hz this is not a driver issue it is a hardware issue and because it uses the Avago 6010 sensor it has tracking issues at low speed on hard surfaces like it's cousins who share the same sensor the Microsoft Habu and Razer Copperhead.

PS, there is another version of the Razer Salmosa called the Razer Salmosa Asian Pro-Gaming Edition aka Mini-Edition which isn't available in North America but you can purchase one on eBay. the difference is the dimensions it's 95 x 54 x 33 mm and it doesn't have a polling rate button on the bottom meaning it's stuck at 125Hz however the USB port can be overclocked to 1000Hz.

Just got mine in the mail today. I will probablly be using this as my everyday mouse. I'm kicking myself for buying that overpriced G9x.
