i can see this being useful for huge resolutions like Eyefinity think about it, try to play at 1920x1080 with an 800 dpi mouse now use that same mouse @ 1024x768.

i play at 1920x1200 and 4000 is too much. unless you like it retardedly sensitive; move a cm and it moves 3 inches on the screen :p

I use the cheapo optical lazer mouse that is about 5-10usd:p

I still own headshots, and have been told I was using aim-bot while gaming with the POS lazer mouse.

Really I don't see the point in the DPI, because I do just fine with the normal ones.

haha. when i used to play CS, some1 mentioned to me you have more precision with a lower sensitivity, this was before DPI mouse really existed, had a microsoft optical at the time. And he's right, get used to the lower sensitivity, and u can aim more precisely.

Ive bought these razor mouse for their buttons. in WOW i use all of em for abilities, not so much the ones on the right side, they're a bit harder to hit.

crap like this is pointless, people will buy anything with a convincing enough of an advertisement. i have this feeling in general about any 'gaming' keyboard or mouse.

my nearly 7 year old logitech mx700 (800dpi & wireless) is still going strong and i have never had problems in any game.

Same here i use a 800 dpi for years now got a 1000 dpi & i don't see why i would need more...?

I think if you buy a mouse over 1000 dpi you must be hyper active or something...?:D

I also believe that , that people will believe anything if you get much advertising , mostly young people 14-20 years old...:ohwell:

It's not crap. Some like a higher DPI, some don't. I personally prefer it for web browsing especially with my 1900x1200 screen so I don't have to drag the mouse 3 feet to get to the other side of a page.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's crap. It's just preference.

The reason I don't like it is it causes my mouse to move around the screen without me touching it.

i use g500 which is 5700 at 1680x1050 i like it actually, in game my sensitivity is low for accuracy, but on windows i like it high.
in games i like it at 4000 and they just put the sens quite low.

its just what you get use too.

Read about what DPI means and maybe you'll understand.

Huge DPI = Huge Resolutions

But then again it's a huge part of showing off and all the newbie geeky wow people don't know what DPI means but they think that bigger means better. And sure Razer (not Razor) aren't the only company that have mouse with huge DPI, Logitech and other brands have the same thing going on.

Most important characteristic shape of a mouse for me is the shape, rather than the sensitivity. I use all kinds of sensitivity according to taste. Sometimes I use 1600dpi, others 800. Highest I went was 3200 with my friend's Mamba, any higher I might as well forget about aiming.

I game at 3000 in BC2 (used to be 4000 but precision suffered) you get really used to it.

to Everyone just saying your DPI truly doesnt mean anything,

in CSS i play at 5700 .4 sensitivity .9 zoom sensitivity for example
in MW2 i play at 4000 and at the lowest the options go.
IN Bc2 i play at .5 with 4000( and im sure some people that i play bc2 can concur that im not innacurate with my gun or well mostly my knife

^^ this guys coming the closest to using real logic to justify dpi.

It's not crap. Some like a higher DPI, some don't. I personally prefer it for web browsing especially with my 1900x1200 screen so I don't have to drag the mouse 3 feet to get to the other side of a page.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's crap. It's just preference.

so turn up your sensitivity

i swear, people with newer mice (my friends included) are always adjusting their dpi on the mouse when they are switching apps. i however just have set everything once to the desired level and forget about it. sensitivity down at 1.0 for steam games and about 5x that for in windows. done and done.

really, it is crap. what's the difference between upping tracking resolution on a mouse and increasing sensitivity in software? literally nothing.

2000 ?

http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.171793100/categoryId.35208800

cant believe they keep raising the dpi used. I have a lachesis which can do 4000, but ive set it to 2000 as i cannot get the sensitivity where i want it at 4000. Any actually use more than 2000? just seems ridiculous to get so high

I can't seem to get how people can't work with high DPI.. I currently have my Naga at 5600 but I wouldn't bother if i could set it higher.
