RealTemp has not been updated in more than 11 years. Windows 10 did not exist when RealTemp 3.70 was last released.

You would be better off using ThrottleStop instead. It will show you CPU temperatures and you can also use ThrottleStop to show temperatures in the system tray.

If you really want to continue using RealTemp, use the Task Scheduler to add it to your Windows start up sequence. RealTemp and ThrottleStop both need Administrator privileges to run. You should not be using the startup folder to start either of them.

Here is a guide to correctly setup the Task Scheduler.

it wouldn't run from task scheduler either so i thought i'd try throttlestop.
it wouldn't start either.
i tried triggering with logon & at system start but no diff.
both programs run ok by clicking shortcut or exe.
i also have realtemp which runs fine from startup folder.

To start ThrottleStop, follow the guide I posted. That method works for me and every other user that I have helped.

ok, got them both going-thanks.
I think the problem was NOT have the 'run at highest priority box checked.
