Recommend me a Ryzen build

I need the CPU/Board/Ram. I am considering the 3700X as it fits my price point. So which board and 16x2 GB ram kit would you guys suggest? I do a lot of virtualization and also some gaming. I do have a Radeon 5700 and an NVMe drive.

Your right on the board , I would advise looking at its Qvl for memory, in so far as random luck ish memory buying the 3600 c16 Corsair vengeance pro rgd i bought were Samsung bdie and worked well out the box but the patriot viper 2666 set i just bought come with amd ryzen support listed on its package and as a weird bonus is way quicker than it's supposed to be with an xmp at 3000.
I have not had a 32Gb x2 kit to try yet.

I know when Zen+ came out the 3-series boards out there started shipping with a Zen+ bios.

Outside of that it's either get AMDs kit or try to find an old a-series on ebay.

Otherwise I'd say @NoJuan999 has you set up with a great build.

Mine came with BIOS version 5007 so I didn't have to update the BIOS to install my 3700x.
I updated it to version 5220 after I booted it with the 3700x installed.
So unless he buys it from a shop that has had these boards sitting on a shelf since April or so it should ship with a 3000 series BIOS.

I agree 100%, to get the best possible performance 3200 C16 would be the slowest I would get.

Yeah, that's a lot.. I didn't really bother to check QVL when I bought mine, but I understand not everyone is willing to take the risk.

One thing you cant trust... is AsRock's QVL list...

...but Im sure that there are plenty choises (DDR4 3200~3600 32GB) under 400$.
Try to find at least the 3200 that suits you. Dont criple ZEN2 with 2666

And the only X570 boards I would suggest below 190$ is...

Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE
Asus PRIME X570-PRO
Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI)

This after many hours/videos of reviews.
MSI is out of the question in this price point.
The Asrock X570 steel legend while there is nothing really wrong with it there are better choises at 180~190$.
