Recommend me a solid 4 GB kit

I've been looking around a couple of weeks now to find a good price/performance kit.

Ideally, I'd like to have higher speed mems than DDR 800.

The Mushkin XP2-8000 (red line) is the cheapest non -6400 4 GB kit I've found so far.
Here's a small list I'm choosing between, they are all in the same price range:

Mushkin XP2-8000

OCZ DDR2-1000 ReaperX

OCZ PC2-8500 Reaper HPC

G.Skill F2-8800 Pi Series

I have these, have had em for a couple of months now...booted up 5-5-5-15, 2.0v, stable as hell...I've read they can hit around 1100 speeds, ymmv. I have no need to go beyond 1000, it lines up perfectly with my CPU/System OC perfectly with the 4:5 strap.

And you can't really beat the price without a rebate. I highly recommend them! :toast:

That G.Skill is not available here in Norway.

I would have to say the reapers,i have seen lots of reviews were they had them past 1100 easy,and one review had them to 1300+.

Neither of these kits above are on the QVL for either Pro or Deluxe P5Q. The PI are quite new, and I have yet to see them on a P5Q board.

Do I have to worry about them not being on the QVL?

I have used a 1gb single stick of ocz pc6400 reaper on my board,it worked fine.

Does Ket's modded bios for the p5q pro support the Gskill Pi ram? i am also looking at that setup.

G skill are awesome. My 20 dollar DDR2 800 easily overclocks to 1066.

Asus P5Q, which is a fairly cheap Intel P45 based board. It ran the memory at the rated settings right of the bat.

If the P5Q can handle it, I'm sure the Pro should handle it. I'm going for these mems! Will report back on how they perform
