My Zowie Celeritas is borked so i need a replacement. I'm currently using my backup board which i normally use on my windows 98se rig which, it's a q-pad with mx reds. The board is okay but its even louder than my Zowie, i think the keycaps are the culprit. I used to have a Corsair K90 with white LEDs as my backup board and i thought it was good. I only sold it as i needed a board with PS/2 to use with older pc's.

Not really up to speed with which boards are good, i know Ducky and Das are still great but i get confused at the 900 Coolermaster and Corsair boards with lots of different LED and RGB LEDs.

I don't need RGB lighting, heck i don't even need LEDs at all really, nor do i require a passthrough USB or passthough 3.5mm jacks.

Ideally i'd like a num pad, PS/2 connection or at least full n-key rollover over usb, mx browns and UK ISO layout. I guess i'd also like to have media keys even if i have to use an FN type key to use them, handy for use in media monkey.

I guess if people could recommend boards with other layouts that would be okay and i could just check if there is a local layout version.

I'm looking at a Corsair K70, Ducky One, Das Keyboards Professional 4, some other boards. Another qpad would be ideal but those clunky keycaps are noisey and annoying for daily use.

Das apparently have swapped from a Taiwanese manufacturer to a Chinese one in order to cut costs and are not as good as their boards used to be. That's what i've read for the Professional 4.
I have been looking at the CM Storm QuickFire XT, it's got all the features of the Zowie Celeritas including PS/2 and even the same repeat rate change function; but it has a nice steel plate inside, detachable usb cable and it's considerably cheaper at £70. The rest of keyboards i've considered are £100-140.

I've been using a Tesoro G1N for a few years now. It's a MaxKeyboard sister company.

The unit is not bad at all. Mine is the most basic model they make. No backlight, No USB hub. The backing plate is steel and solid. The keycaps on mine are browns. The layout UK Iso.

Think it was about £55.

Not sure about the availability of them any more. Chances are they use a newer model.

I would happily buy another one when this one dies.

The company didn't break into the UK market fully. And you might get a bargain if you search about a bit. I know the where to buy section is a little lacking for the UK.
