Rockstar has announced Red Dead Redemption 2, slated to release in Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbone.

Personally, I am excited. I liked the first one a lot, even though I only played through once and never went back through the DLC. It has been one I have always wanted to go back to and play, just haven't. I am disappointed they didn't decide to release on PC, but am wondering if it will be similar to GTA V where they release it later with more content and very optimized, etc.

My guess is no. It probably won't be coming to PC.

I've always wanted to play Red Dead Redemption and was thinking about it this morning when I saw that RDR 2 would be out for Xbox One. I think the first one has been made compatible with Xbox One as well. I'm considering buying and Xbox One to play them both and giving the console and games away after I'm done with the games.

It's a strategy. Nobody shouldn't wait announce for the PC right now. Probably they'll announce for a while later when console versions came out.. It means we can get that game 2018 fall or 2019 spring. Remember! There will be PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio so, you guys know what I just meant...:D

Look at how they handled GTAV. They will release on PS4 and Xbox One then later on PC. That is just the way they do it. Even though they never released RDR on PC I have a feeling this will eventually with RDR2. I'll buy it for the PS4 and PC if it releases on that platform.

RDR1 was great, and the DLC wasn't bad either even though I don't like Zombies.

However I am worried RDR2 will end up like GTA Online and the singleplayer will be entirely QTE.

I wish they released RDR1 on PC, its my favorite PS3 game.

And you are precisely the reason they do this...Get people by "double dipping" again...They got me with LA Noire. Last time I fall for it.

lol but I fall for nothing. If they released on all three systems at the same time I would still buy it on both the PS4 and PC. I only want it on PC for the modding. Just like GTAV. But for the first playthrough I would prefer to relax on my couch and play it on the console.
