I uninstalled my current drivers to install using this tool. Opened NVCleanstall and only selected display driver, physx and HD audio and pressed install. For whatever reason it reinstalled GE. I checked all 3 tweaks at the end before installing. What gives?

Are you sure you ran the correct installer? I'm using the exact same options and never ended up with GFE

I mean it's kind of hard to mess up a three-step installation process, but yes I'm absolutely sure. I shut down my computer, ran DDU in safe mode, rebooted the computer and ran this installer version 1.0.0. In the attached picture are the only three components I selected to install.

Driver version 436.48 64-bit

Here's an image from control panel. You can clearly see that GE had been reinstalled yesterday. I can't make this stuff up.

I have used this program for each driver version from when it started and it never installed GE. Same 3 options as you, when Nvidia installer window pops up did it have GE in the list?

I'm not sure if it had GE in the windows pop up or not. I walked away to do something and when I came back that's when I noticed it had reinstalled. I have since uninstalled GE it's not a tremendous deal on my end I just wanted to let the developer know this is what happened.

I never use GE but only thing that comes to mind is GE never got fully uninstalled, to begin with, What I do is always enable the clean option, though in the past this has been buggy too, as a few times new driver had my old settings but this has nothing to do with NVcleanstall program.

DDU fully uninstalled GE. I have never had an issue after using DDU where I had residual files.

Any chance you could uninstall your NVIDIA drivers and reinstall with NVCleanstall again? I'd love to learn more about this
