Replaced my GTX1650Super for 7800XT, How to properly clean nvidia?

Hey guys, I've just installed my 7800XT instead of my GTX1650 Super. I have un-installed every Nvidia product on my "Uninstall Programs" from Windows.

Is that enough? Can I now Download and Install the AMD products?

I have seen recommendations on the forum for Nvidia users to use a program called "DDU" before installing AMD products.
Should I use it aswel? If so, is there any guideline or just running and uninstall?

I would download the latest AMD drivers, boot in to safe mode, run DDU to clean Nvidia drivers, restart, install the AMD drivers offline and the connect to the internet. That is how i do it.

Sometimes the best thing to do is a fresh install of Windows. As long as you don't store everything on 1 drive it will just be a matter of resetting Windows. You never know what files are left behind in the registry.

That can lead to issues or "gremlins" as some people call them.

You should be good to go. I usually don't bother with ddu unless there's a problem.

It should be fine but doesn’t hurt to run DDU. Congrats on the huge upgrade in GPU performance! That is a major jump!

I regularly swap back and forth between the two when troubleshooting gear with my back up/test rig. Never have a problem. Now with my gaming rig, I always nuke the old drivers before installing new.

Exactly. What I did... Remove the device from device manager. Go to apps and delete all things Nvidia.
Turn PC Off.
Remove old GPU.
Insert new GPU. Install drivers. Done
100% bug free so far.

I moved from a 1080 to a 7900XT.
