I've decided to try to fix this old card I have.
Details:
Card: Diamond ATI Radeon HD4870X2 2048 MB
Status: Brick. Will not Post. Using Nvidia GTS250 to drive display.
Attempted Solutions:
Downloaded ATI Flash.
Created MS98 Boot USB with ATIFlash.
Downloaded appropriate Master GPU and Slave GPU Bios.
Used ATIFlash via command prompt. Entered commands:
- atiflash -i (Determine adapter #)
- atiflash -fp -p 0 Master.bin (-fp flag used to bypass part number error. Card is definitely a 2048 hd4870x2 diamond radeon)
- atiflash -fp -p 1 Slave.bin
Restarted
Outcomes:
No Change
