Honestly I'd say that some kind of VR handcontrollers would be more valuable. Some kind of motion sensing finger controller so you wiggle your fingers to move, that would be way more useful than two cellphone screens attached to some goggles.

We have controllers and more controllers are being made, the omni and a few other variants from other people created to be used with the rift..

Fortunately the Oculus Rift is more than just two cellphones screens attached to some goggles. You wouldn't achieve the same effect if you just tried to use two cellphone screens.
