Rise of Flight Dissapointment

I flew RedBaron3D for many years, loved WW1 flight. I became a member of the community early on, and flew for years as an ace bomber, and they all knew me. My nick was CamelJock, as I prefer a Camel fighter, but usually fly bomber planes. We moved on to Rise of Flight, and Red Baron died. I continued there, and built a large squad. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I mentioned it to the community, and it was downhill from there. I actually got flamed for mentioning it. I figured a community I was part of for 10 years would give me some support. Dam, was I wrong! I left something I loved for almost 10 years, because members of my own long time community were flaming me over my mother's cancer? That was back in January, I don't give a sh*t about the game anymore, or the people I spent a decade flying with. No reason to be a bit sour? I'm over it now, but first time I've vented it
out.....

I'm also a member of a project to build a brand new RB3D. NDA, sorry.

You needed someone to talk to about serious situation you have in real life. The "virtual world" community of any sort is risky place to do so. Friendly connections you had there were not based on any aspects of real life, rather on virtual game world you shared. It is perfectly natural for you to reach out in a time of need, and to feel sour if dismissed.

I'm over it now, but first time I've vented it
out.....

In hard times like these you should reach out to your family, your siblings, get to know your mother and be there for her.

Sure is but i know the people i have played with going back to Ghost Recon days would not be like that with me.

Kinda wondering what kind of assholes these guys are.. Unless your talking about those who not been around all that long..

All i can say is that they were not friend in the 1st place.

Cancer with a family member is tough, I've dealt with it before and it isn't an enjoyable experience... But at the same time I don't think theirs ever been a better time to use this meme.
