I washed and dried the 7970 over night was pretty dirty(I do this with old gear for years, no worries). Tested it today and it worked for a few mins. installed driver rebooted and see artifacts like the memory has gone bad. I will mess with it another day. perhaps moisture still in it.

After you get hardware wet let it sit for at least a week if not two

I use the dishwasher. Just turn the heat off. But you have to let it sit for at least a week. There is water in places that you can't blow out

Update, Tried the card today on spare fx6300 system and it worked.No issues. I ran 3dmark timespy and monster hunter online benchmark multiple times.

I pretty happy it's working again.

It pays to keep your cards "clean".
