Road Rash

I am currently preparing my old PS1 Road Rash titles for use on my PSP and I just been sitting here looking up videos of the games and it brings back some good memories. I always wondered if they would translate well to current times. But I just found this render that some guy did and it makes me believe it would, if that was a game would be so much fun

I love Road Rash. I haven't played since the N64 version though. I'd totally dig a new RR title.

Last I played is RR 3D, though I had more seat time with the original RR, I liked the menus, atmosphere, and characters more from the first title. Can't wait to finish converting all my old PS1 games, been a long time, got Gran Turismo 2, Diablo 1, RR 1, RR 3D and a few other amazing titles to put on the PSP, how much more fun can you really fit in a pocket than that?

Last time I played Road Rash was on the Amiga 500.

Game devs should really start making sequels of the classics.

I like a game called Street Rod.
It was great how the engines could be swapped, upgraded and tuned in the old cars.

But some indie dev team decided to work on it.....very very slowly.

I didn't know Road Rash went that far back. Looked it up, looks like RR 1 on PSP is just a remake of it with a bit of grunge tossed in the menus.

I Have Road Rash For PC

I have trouble getting it to work properly but I did play it some on a Vista 32 bit PC. I love the game and would love to see a modern prettied up version with positional audio. What could be better than speeding around on a motorcycle at insane speeds meanwhile whipping other bikers with chains and stuff and occasionally hitting pedestrians without any chance of death. Man it would really be great for Road Rash to get a reboot in modern times. :toast:

Yeah I was thinking about buying it for PC, but I tried playing D1 on PC a while back and it just murdered my memories. I then played it on a PSP and it once again made me realize why I enjoyed it so much. I remember these games as looking good, and they did on 4:3 TV's, but being stretched to 16:9 kills them and to be made so large. The small screen of the PSP makes them look good again, so I will stick with it for my vintage goodness.

Was not the biggest fan of the game but i do remember it. I be totally interested in some one like Frozenbyte or alike would make a a sweet looking Gauntlet like the arcade version lol.

Although based on those clips the videos seemed a lot better on the 3DO version. I gotta go find the disc and try it out.

And getting soooo close to the end and having an epic crash throwing you miles from your bike so you end up finishing on foot. They just don't make games like they used to :laugh:

the genesis(megadrive) versions were awesome

remember there were some great cheats to get
the superbike which was mad fast
