Hi guys! I need to update bios, but I didn't find my version in the techpowerup bios collection. Then I found this page by google: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/216350/216350 Is it fine? I just doubt, because it's not in the collection.

Thanks for answers!
I have a problem with Photoshop. When I work at some moment screen freezes for a long time then become black then Photoshop crashes. I can't continue my work without reboot. In windows events I see nvlddmkm error event id 1 or event id 14. I tried a clean install of windows 10, any nvidia drivers, different versions of Photoshop. To update bios is my last hope. Do you think it won't help?

Why is bios update now a common troubleshooting step for people? It should never be when you have stability problem with your card. Bios update is very very seldom the solution for many many problems. You can troubleshoot by running a stress test, or better yet, RMA the card.

I tried it already. Nothing changed.

Cause I've tried a lot of things except bios update. I've got this advice in other forum.
I've tried to return the card to sellers, but they tested it and didn't catch this issue and said the card is fine.

Hi guys! I need to update bios
oh my god no you don't

try igpu or different card,if it helps send the 2070s back
if not the problem is other hardware/software

I've tried to return the card to sellers, but they tested it and didn't catch this issue and said the card is fine.
2nd hand ?

it's not easy to reproduce the exact same scenario.

Post your full specs, I seriously doubt that the GPU (especially BIOS) is at fault here.

Ok I've got it, I won't update bios. Thanks for helping me!

2nd hand ?
I've tried my old GTX 980 on this PC and yes it's solve problem, but I need better card to my work and games. Also I've tried GTX 2080 (borowed it from my friend) and got exact same issue. I don't know what to think.

No, it's not 2nd hand. I bought PC in the shop, but they can't take the card back if it's not a problem with the card.

Post your full specs, I seriously doubt that the GPU (especially BIOS) is at fault here.
I've added specs to my profile.

You can see it in his System Specs. It's a 750W PSU, should be plenty enough as my 650W PSU can hadle OC i7 8700K and OC RTX 2080 without any problems.

If someone from another forum could solve this problem with a BIOS update of his card, why not trying it? If you save your original BIOS before and you have a second GPU or iGPU to flash the original BIOS back if it bricks your card, then you should be fine.

It is not said, that they fixed it by different bios. They just suggested the idea which is funny.

Contact the card manufacturer, nvidia and adobe. A bios flash will not fix this issue.

You said that with gtx 980 it does not crash. But with rtx 2070 or 2080 it crashes. It looks like there are problem with programm or nvidia side.

Which version of Photoshop is this happening on?

I have a RTX 2080 Super and RX 5700 XT and Adobe Photoshop CC 21.0.2 (2020). Could you give me instructions to reproduce the crashes step-by-step?

I got this problem in Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 20.0.5.27259 and Adobe Photoshop CC 2020 21.0.1.47.
It's not easy to describe it step-by-step. I retouch a large volume of photos and open 10 or 20 photos at the same time. Crash could happen in every moment, after 1-2 hours work or after 10 minutes.

Once I got same crash with Google Chrome when I watched YouTube (Photoshop was closed).

Try disabling those options and see if using Photoshop works for you. Like the others have stated, this sounds like a driver issue. When you play games does it also crash randomly?

No, games never crash.
Games are usually the ones that would stress the card out (which can cause the computer to crash or shutdown if it was a power issue).

I'm checking to see if those two versions of Photoshop CC are affected by anything in the latest NVIDIA drivers.

I know you may have already tried this, but could you do this to make sure your drivers are cleanly installed:

1. Install DDU (don't run it right after yet)
2. Uninstall any NVIDIA-related software under your Control Panel > Programs list. This includes NVIDIA Drivers, GeForce Experience, PhysX drivers and Audio drivers. Restart your PC if necessary.
3. Run DDU, change your settings to include deleting C:\NVIDIA and recommend running in Safe Mode.
4. Close DDU. Start DDU again and let it restart into Safe Mode.
5. Once in Safe Mode, erase the INTEL and AMD drivers without restarting.
6. After step 5 is complete, go ahead and erase the NVIDIA drivers with restart.
7. Once the restart gets you back in Normal bootup, go ahead and attempt to reinstall the latest WQHL drivers. I recommend the newer DCH installer as the NVIDIA Control Panel is a UWP app now and runs faster for some reason. It's also easier to remove the NVIDIA Control Panel if needed.
