It's not very good as leaks go. Could be anything.

Besides, Timespy isn't a great indicator of gaming chops.

Well...thats true but also seems very legit as we saw some of the previous "leaks" and also some Nvidia gaming benchmarks so we can assume that RTX 2080 should be almost identical to the GTX 1080TI performance

Odd how the lower clocked GPU fares better in Time Spy.

Indeed....thats very interesting maybe the other CPU was OC more but can´t be that because CPU score is even lower there anyway the difference is more than 1k in graphics score which is crazy......

Look like. 2080 is 17% faster than 070 on average, identical memory interface. 080Ti is probably one golden ratio faster.

I was even making some approaches to sellers to get a used 1080Ti,glad I hesitated. Buying a used 250W card with 6 months warranty already gone in place of a new 170W one with same performance and a new game bundle would be a disaster for me,even if the former is slightly faster.

Odd how the lower clocked GPU fares better in Time Spy.
cause it's made up.

Patience is a virtue. I'm in need of a new G Card as much as i loved having my 780ti and r9200. I'm well over due for a upgrade the amount of gaming i do.

I dont believe those scores. If true rtx 2080 is not worfh the money. i mean less vram, same score range as gtx 1080 ti but more exspensive. Not thanks. Only thing going for it is ray tracing and lower power consumtion so far. Waiting for review before final desision.

This how my 1080 ti scores with overclock to a comparison.

I dont know why people are comparing it to a 1080ti anyway, I thought it was obvious from the get go that the 2080 wasnt an upgrade and TI owners should only be looking to see if the 2080ti was a worthwhile upgrade.

Did I miss some kind of proclamation that the 2080 was supposed to contend with the 1080ti?

We compare rtx 2080 with gtx 1080 ti because they cost the same more or less. Som price wise it is fair to compare these two. Gtx 1080 ti lauch msrp is 699usd for fe card and it the same msrp for rtx 2080. So yeah prices are the same.

Besides that rtx 2080 ti cost msrp 999/1199 usd depending on version. So rtx 2080 ti is also a good amount more exspensive than gtx 1080 ti as well. So not a fair comparison then it is performance in the 699 usd range we are talking about here. Infact for the price rtx 2080 ti is more a competer for titan xp.

Today is the day when reviewers are allowed to post first public benchmarks and all in all they are more or less the same as many of us expected and we already saw from some of the previous benchmarks"leaks"....
RTX 2080 TI is around 25% faster then 1080TI
RTX 2080 is just a bit slower then GTX 1080TI

Yes they are out and all I can say is that I hope rtx 2070 aib models will come out with close to 1080ti performance and 200W power consumption at $500 to save nvidia's face.

Hmmm....doubt that .... I reckon that RTX 2070 is going to be around 20% slower then GTX 1080 TI and probably around 50W less power consumption then RTX 2080....

given how tu106 is same 8gb ddr6 256-bit and 2304 cuda it's gonna be closer to 2080 than you think. If 2080 is 1080 +40% then 2070 will be 1080 +25%.

I'm not seeing how that is even remotely possible. 2070 has 22% less cores than a 2080. Which is already slower than a 1080 Ti.

Nor am I seeing how possible it is that The Mighty RTX 2080 Ti can exceed the performance of a Titan V...by more than maybe 2%...at best.

Pretty meh this 20 series is showing itself to be. And then you turn on ray tracing...and wow. Might as well be running a 900 series card. Major disappoint.

look at 1070 vs 1080, it was 33% more cores and ddr5x 10GHz vs 8GHz, amounted to 1.20-1.25x
2080 vs 2070 is 27% more cores and same memory.

At least it also delivers with rasterization. Because without that, it would be a really crap release entirely relying on RTX gimmick. Then again, imagine RTX 2080Ti without all the RTX and tensor crap. It would be smaller, less power hungry and more importantly, cheaper for everyone who don't give a toss about RTX, but appreciate high framerate... They should have also made GTX 2080Ti without RTX and sell it for what GTX 1080Ti was selling originally... But oh well...

Well I guess that Nvidia also plan to release GTX 2060 /in short thats GPU for people that don't give a toss about RTX

I checked how much faster 2080 is than 1080Ti in the games I own at my resolution

4%,8%,0%,-3%,19%,24%

there's good performance in some, but in most games, coome oon..... noticeable change in 2 out of 6... plus that power draw
