I've not overclocked any components. It's my first time playing with Afterburner.

However, I really think the GPU is broken. So, I'll try it on a friend's computer and then contact the support to get a replacement.

Thanks to everyone for your kindness and help. It's the first time I post on a forum and get so many people willing to help. I'm going to bookmark this forum.

Could you tell us what happened after second replacement attempt? Was it a software or hardware problem?

The support didn't want it back without me finding a test to reproduce the problem. I am not a computer specialist, I don't know how to do that. So I was quite desperate. I spent a couple more days searching possible fix. That's when I found a reddit post saying to disable image scaling and MFAA in nvidia 3D settings. I never touched those settings and the computer was using a new SSD. So I didn't think it would work but I did it anyway. One of those options was disabled but the other was enabled. I am sorry I don't remember which one. It's been months now and there are no problems.

The fact I had to change the settings makes me think it's software related. However, the default settings shouldn't break the computer. That's why I don't know if it's software or hardware related.

If it comes back, dont tiptoe, memory at minimum -500, dont slightly underclock, massively underclock, make recordings, if a memory underclock removes artefacts then there is some vram issue in my opinion.

Slight chance of unstable power delivery been cause.

Screw that. Tell them you retested it in every way possible. They sent you back a bum card.
If it's in warranty then Gigabyte needs to honor it with with a proper functioning replacement.

I know this may sound stupid but have you tried different ports and/or a different cable?

Yes I tried other ports on my motherboard and changed the HDMI cable. The problem really comes from the GPU.

This is without question a hardware level failure.
Seriously OP, email Gigabyte back, tell them you have tested the card (list everything out) and demand your replacement.

Wrong, time for a RX 6900XT.

If a 6900, make sure it is decently quiet, avoid the ASRock Phantom D OC.

Unfortunately true indeed, lots of complaints w/ them.
It certainly looks like they sent something sub-par back as the replacement here...

They have been denying warranties for several years now. Plus they revise their boards like 5 times over to cheapen them out. Worst company by far
