Hello,

here are several tests with Shadow of the Tomb Raider Benchmark:
(3440x1440)

1) Default: PT 100% -> avg FPS 73 - max watt: 356.2
2) Default: PT 107% -> avg FPS 74 - max watt: 384.0
3) 0.850v@1830 MHz PT 107% -> avg FPS 73 - max watt: 320.5
4) 0.875v@1905 MHz PT 107% -> avg FPS 75 - max watt: 357.2

With Default, the card is slower coz it runs into PT and starts throttling.
Even with undervolting there are certain games like Quake ii RTX or Metro Exodus which draw more watt and the card starts throttling.
Also higher resolution draws more or high quality settings in certain game.

I hope, the fantastic staff of TPU will bring us a new version of GPU-Z to save the vBios and maybe, the TUF OC card will have a higher PT if I flash the STRIX OC Bios.

Cheers!!

If you look at recent generations ... the card with the highest OC'd cores / memory is rarely the one with the highest fps. Going back all the way to the 780, I remember finding the highest stable core and the highest stable memory ... and the highest fps i got was by backing down each maybe a third of they way back to "in da box' settings.

One quirk of Nvidia's architecture which AMD copied by the way, is buffered memory. I believe it was called tiled rendering. It only updates when there is an update, not immediately. When it came up, it immediately gave an advantage to Nvidia because the memory didn't have to suffer the full brunt unless the gpu needed it a hundred percent. That buffers memory writes and unless the gpu is fast enough, you don't see full activity in the memory subsystem. It made overclocking a piece of cake without the inherent base activity. Should latest cards suffer more heat or power, that could be due to 'actual' loads and not on paper GB/s numbers.

I love my 3080 TUF, and have been tweaking too, I have two profiles I go between.

1830mhz @ 825mv
2010mhz @ 1000mv

Stock hovers around 1925mhz @ 1025mv, I did some benching at the time but don't really have it on hand (work PC) but I'll try remember to come back here with results.

Me and my best mate both scored 3080's very early in the piece and have some head to heads planned, with averages of 5 runs comparing stock to undervolted so again I'll try check in here with the results.

After first reporting of Superposition Benchmark for the RTX 3090 which was taken down, now a number of RTX 3090 Benchmark has now appeared.

EDIT: I have a strong feeling the new up-coming AMD card (Big NAVI) will be in the mix.

Can you confirm the settings you've used? looks like max everything, including ultra raytracing, DLSS off and SMAAT2X? happy to compare results too.

I did a run at those settings last night and got 71fps, 11230 frames rendered, 1890mhz @ 856mv - 297w

Last driver boostet the FPS - AVG now 79 @ default MHz 100% PT (TUF OC BIOS)

Inno3D leaked nvFlash for Ampere... I am now using the Gaming OC Bios (390w PT):
3090 Gaming OC Bios https://filehorst.de/d/dkiGDmJv

After successful flash, windows freezes... but dont worry ;)

I changed from the TUF OC to the STRIX OC. I noticed the extra power connector on the strix version and decided to get that instead. It was an extra 150pounds aswell as the cards having all gone up in price. When it arrives i will be particularly interested to find out how it performs next to the TUF version. I was told by a little birdie that the next large batch was available on friday. Like i say i think ive missed my chance to get a card out of this batch due to changing my order. Keeping my fingers crossed. Looks like the Tuf version of the card is clocking pretty well though.

I ended up buying a 3090 Tuf in the end, I'm running it with -500Mhz downclock on the gpu, stock on the memory and still able to stream

Cyberpunk 2077. I set the game to run at 80fps @1440p DLSS Auto All High but noticed dips to 63 during battle etc. The stream quality is amazing. :toast:
