RTX3090 Zotac?or Asus?or Gigabyte? capacitor Problems and other?

I've been using Zotac Grakas for years and have never had any problems. The 3090 Trinity only has 2 x 8 pole power connections. But if you want more power with the 3090, does that mean you have to look for a card with a 3 x 8 pin power connector, which may also be slightly overclocked at the factory? I think the Asus is also very good
ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 STRIX OC

It also has good temp values and is relatively quiet.
Well I saw it will soon be

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3090 Aorus Xtreme

come out. It just has a huge cooler (almost 4 slots) and very large fan blades.

Now my question:

- Will Gigabyte also use the more expensive capacitor things for the card or a mix of both?
- What is your assessment of whether the card is better or worse than the Asus?
- Because of my logic, large fans, fewer revolutions to transport the same amount of air = less loud and cooler and can therefore clock higher, right? therefore better performance when gaming in 4k?

Do others already have experience with gigabytes? Are high-quality parts installed there and do they last for a long time? (doesn't want to overclock anything manually)

I read that the Eagle Model use not the good capacitor? they use only 6 x POSCAPS and not some MLCC?

Thanks & Greetings

I have a Asus 3080 TUF and my best mate got a Gigabyte RTX3080 Gaming OC at launch and neither of us have had any issues. I believe Gigabyte also exceed reference/lower end setups by quite some margin, but Asus TUF or Strix honestly seems Ultimate.

I am beyond impressed with my TUF, I can only see the 3090 being just as good and the Strix's being even better.

You know, I wouldn't put too much hopes in OC any of the 3000 series top cards like 3080 or 3090. There's a lot of information released by various youtubers who actually made some research about the capacitors and power delivery problems. It would seem the cards are basically maxed out already. Rising the core clocks by 50Mhz cases problems and thus you should be cautious with buying one of these products thinking you can ramp up core clocks exponentially. Theses cards are good as they are and since it has been proven that the capacitors and power delivery has something to do with it, I don't think getting a card with 3x8pin power delivery will change much even if you put liquid on it. From what guys on the internet are saying, if you buy 3090 or 3080 and you run these without any OC you should be OK.

1. 3090 is vastly overpriced and if you are looking for a great PCB and parts, my first assumption was you're going to watercool it.
2. I then read you just want to air cool it on stock

...why not a 3080? You can put the other half into so many other nice things. The 10% gain from a 3090 is hardly even noticeable most of the time. Maybe some games will give you 15%. There's a good chance some refresh of the 3080 will do similar in due time at a lower price point too.

Another argument to be made for that.... 3090 is still a cut down GPU and the binning doesn't seem fantastic overall, both for 3080 and 3090. They also get really hot, another thing which isn't a big plus for longevity.

The 2080ti just instantly lost its value in resale within the space of 1 gen update. AMD has yet to produce its line up. You're here ready to buy a 1500 dollar GPU that will likely have lost its value faster than the 2080ti has.

Considerations. Additionally, Gigabyte's track record for GPUs isn't stellar, but that really is a hit/miss kind of affair - still overall they aren't really leading in any metric ever. Certainly not known for part quality or consistency, but well known for straight up criminal RMA... (as in, they brick your GPU for you - we have several topics on that here on TPU).

I'd steer away 180 degrees from this whole idea TBH. Yes, even if you 'need' the 24GB...

Simply wait for reviews of the high end variant 3080's if thats what youre looking for. The caps on the rear side of the socket arent everything, the trinity card for example looks to have the most basic VRM setup overall, they can add mlcc's back there in the future and it wont really change how that card performs.
We'll know performance soon enough. Strix 3080 has a couple of youtube reviews, and just like the rest of the non entry level boards/cards isnt really out yet.
Seems almost all manufacturers held back their flagship cards to design them better, which is positive, they should be all out by mid october.

oh boy if you wanna buy the best GPU for Epeen reason, go for the 3090 Strix or 3090 Aorus Extreme, just know that you won't even touch the 100th place in any benchmark (Timespy, Superposition, etc...) without going chilled water cooling.
If you buy 3090 for gaming because you have the budget for it, I think 3090 TUF non-OC is a mighty fine choice, 99% of the time you would run it undervolted anyways...

Hmm,

and what is the best cooling soloution? Asus Strix OC oder Aorus Extreme? The 4 Slot Cooler i think he is good or? Yeah i will buy a 3090 because reserve. But i read in test that if the GPU has 3 Pol Power Connector than more Power for the Card and it is better than 2 Pol Power Connector? I want a very fast and very cold and a silent 3090

Hmm when will the Asus and Gigabyte 3090 be tested here?

Thx and Cheers

These are questions that unless a reviewer posts a review of these not yet available products no one can actually answer.. Gigabyte 3090 extreme reviews dont yet exist.

I've changed my order to the Asus Strix OC and lost my place in the que for my efforts... I didnt notice the power connector difference when i was originally picking out the card.
