The rumor mill about AMD's next generation GPUs is starting to get going.
Moore's Law is dead (MLID) has uncovered a lot of information about these new components and shared it with the world.
MLID reports that the performance of this new generation is much higher than the current generation.
The RDNA 3 GPUs should perform 50 to 60 percent better than the predecessors.
MLID does say that the difference between theoretical peak performance should be separated from what the ultimate “real-world” performance should be.
However, the RDNA 3 Radeon RX7000 cards will be more expensive than the current generation. MLID talks about “almost an entire tier”.
This includes what Nvidia had done with the RTX 20 cards compared to the RTX 10 cards.
MLID expects the RDNA 3 RX 7000 cards to hit the market in the second half of 2022 and RDNA 4 cards to see the light of day in late 2023 or early 2024.
Both generations should achieve a 50 percent better performance compared to their predecessor.
