Nvidia doesn't produce hbm. They have no foundries.

they have either Samsung or SK Hynix to help them build it, but Samsung have their hands full so it's most likely SK Hynix will be the ones who will help them make HBMs. Another rumor is that they're making GDDR5X chips for a toned down version of the Pascal chip. Pascal will be built on 16nm FinFET process, which is about the same as AMD's upcoming Polaris chips. Rumor or not, this upcoming battle is heating up in a positive manner, which I've gotten interested in it.

wasnt pascal going to use gddr5x?
besides, its way to early to speculate, we havent even seen a pascal chip yet, and from the looks of it we wont for some time since there wont probably be any releases any time soon from any camp...

It been rumor that the lower end Pascals probably have GDDR5X since it be cheaper than HBM2. While high end Pascal have HBM2.

Actually Samsung just started ramping up HBM2.
