Saw this from another forum, which sourced Chiphell information.

Looks like big navi definitely has a chance of challenging TitanRTX this round.

Well again this is rumor from Chiphell, which has been somewhat of a hit or miss in the past. At the same time Lisa Su did confirm there will be big Navi this year. So yeah, maybe we will see some new player in high-end GPU market soon

Theres so many forums and leaks and even a translation, too, that any sane person will avoid giving this 'leak' so much thought.

Also, in(and out?) before the fans mental health sufferers arrive - from both sides, I might add - to turn this thread into the usual nonsense. :shadedshu:

Always fun to watch debates

I do wonder whether it will be RDNA2 or RDNA though.

Given it's already on 7nm, I wonder about the power efficiency moving to a larger component core. Obviously, arch tweaks will help a lot.

I better start saving now. If these specs are correct I imagine the cost will be abysmal.

Let's see, mcm or monolithic. Do we have any other contenders? :)

So what we thinking price wise? The RTX 2080 Ti is expensive so this must undercut that, I'd happily pay... 700 bucks for this, assuming it's gonna takes months for the drivers to be up to speed.

We all win!

I think the inefficiency could be a function of the higher clocks. If they run this chip in the efficiency sweet spot, then I bet thermals wont be something like 5700 XT times two.
If you bothered to click on the link in OP you would see it is the same thing

If it matches or beats Titan RTX, expect Titan RTX level pricing.
Not necessarily. Look at how AMD has proved their CPUs. They basically made Intel cut their X-series pricing in half. I still doubt a possible winning product will be cheap, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to send a message about nvidias pricing. Nvidia will also be launching a new product line soon too, so who knows how the chips will fall.
I mean interposer like old radeon pros unless if they use Infinity fabric...
See the custom Vega GPU they made for the new Mac Pro. It connects two Vegas through infinity fabric, so it has already been done. It’s just hard to say if it will be worth it. There would probably be a latency hit, but maybe overhead wouldn’t be as bad as the classic bridge chip design. I’d love to see it for the sake of science. :)

Cpu vs gpu is hard to compare in terms of competitive pricing.

GPU market has shown again and again AMD isn't willing to undercut much or at all. Current only AMD GPU worth the price is 5700 or 5700xt. I can get a 5700 at the price of a 5600 xt while being just overall better out of the box not counting the vbios to make it run at 5700xt speeds. 5500XT isnt all that great as it barely outperforms a 580 and it costs as much as a 1660 super here in Canada. Recall Radeon 7 launch? Not much cheaper or was at same price as competition.

I don’t really know where you put Radeon 7. It was based on a product not originally intended for the consumer market (16GB HBM) and all but promoted as a collector’s edition. Vega’s use of HBM did not lend itself to be cheap either. I think most knew to wait for Navi, which largely made the 7 unnecessary. As for the 5500 XT, it is probably priced where it is because Polaris stock is not gone yet, and those cards are sold at the lower price tiers.

At this point I'll believe it when I see it. Not to mention "bait for wenchmarks™".

Almost all of AMD's recent past big chips have been disappointing.

What good is power if the drivers are ass?
When the drivers gimp the power and cause problems, that's a problem.
Tbh, I ain't never seen anything like this. This is garbage!
Never had driver problems like this, ever!
I find it it intolerable.

Even if this comes to exist, I highly doubt that it´s something geared towards the gaming market, unless AMD wants to enter the $1200 race.

This card was going to end up with a die of about 500mm and 24GB HBM would be absurdly expensive. For comparison, the Radeon VII had a 330mm die and 16GB HBM and cost $700, reportedly making little profit for AMD.
