it can't hold the advertised clock without tweaking? Weird. 1328mhz. There's a guy on youtube Mr11SESSE111 claimed AIB will hit 1500mhz+ and will surpass gtx 980Ti.

@ the time, i was ranked #68 in Europe, if memory serves. No idea what this time would rank now since i've stopped checking.

As for the topic @ hand, AMD was WAY too eager and clocked the card too high, which resulted in high power usage AND low overclocking potential. Had they opted for ... say ... 1200 MHz boost clock, there wouldn't be the power concerns @ stock lvls and the OC headroom would be a bit higher. It's obvious why they did it: nVidia's 1080 performance exceeded their expectations.

The guy probably watched der8auer's RX 480 OC video, got little too excited, and draw a conclusion like that.
