Looks like it was holding the 1244 boost and I assume the dips are the loading screens between the test scenes? 'I'm not too familiar with time spy'
Tho I guess the most important part is if its stable during gaming.

I have Heaven and Valley bench installed,those I can run and compare if you want. 'just leave me the benchmark run settings'

yeah i think the dips are during the loading/change of scenes, and yeah the important thing is stability during gaming, and sure lets try heaven i have that installed, idk what would be the ideal setting for the heaven so we can set the same thing , let me know what you think its best.

I ran it with the default Extreme preset.

Yup, performance seems to be in order now.

Now its to see if your games stay stable with it, other than that its looks good to me.

I gave this gpu to my brother so when he was playing and streaming valorant he told me the game crashed and obs so I gave it a check and I noticed the power consumption being 90w at max and that got me surprised other than the clock being under 1200.

edit: testing on resident village i still see the power wattage only reaching 90 ish but im guessing its okay? other than that the core clock is finally staying at 1244 as it should.

To be honest I never really payed attention to the wattage, don't really trust those software power consumption displays too much.
As long as its keeping the boost clock around 1200+ stable and no crashes its all good imo.

At least this is how I've been using the card for ~2 and half years and so far its still working fine.
Checked with Afterburner now and I also get 90-110W readings but eh, like I said I don't really trust them to be too accurate anyway.

But yea, I'm glad its working better now since I also spent a fair ammount of time trying to figure out whats going on after I bought this card and then fixing it. :oops:

yeah for sure it just made no sense tbh, but ive set the voltages you shared on ur picture on my setting in msi afterburner since amd software doesnt like to reload them when i restart the pc

Btw thats nice of you to troubleshoot the card for your bro, I can't even ask for a piece of hardware from my bro when I'm troubleshooting my own PC when it has some issues. 'He can't be arsed to take anything out of his system to borrow me'

I assume the driver reset thing could be fixed but I kinda ran out of ideas.
That thing likes to conflict with bunch of stuff, I only listed what was my case.

Yeah I can only think that amd software doesnt like msi afterburner

edit: one thing i would like to know about your voltages configuration, why did you modified the other values ? aka stage 2,3,4,5
i thought you said only to modify the stage 7 alone.

Call I've pretty much exhausted the BIOS database for your card and I've only found two files that may work however you would have to change the device ID / subsystem ID available to get the higher TDP and higher power limit otherwise it is the aorus bios that you would need

I actually did not, those are the default values in the driver for my card if I press set everything back to default.
Only modified state 7 on my own since thats what I need, card always worked just fine outside of gaming so I did not touch those just in case I risk stability.

No, you will try the other gaming bios but there is a risk involved, if you have a spare gpu or igp/apu that will help with a failed bios flash recovery. I will need yo look through and see what doesnt have under 90W

Do not flash until i have whats needed and that you have a backup plan.
