these are results under 3d mark time spy with the configuration you provided me for the voltages and power limited at +25

Thats a better result than before?

Looks like it was holding the 1244 boost and I assume the dips are the loading screens between the test scenes? 'I'm not too familiar with time spy'
Tho I guess the most important part is if its stable during gaming.

I have Heaven and Valley bench installed, those I can run and compare if you want. 'just leave me the benchmark run settings'

yeah i think the dips are during the loading/change of scenes, and yeah the important thing is stability during gaming, and sure lets try heaven i have that installed, idk what would be the ideal setting for the heaven so we can set the same thing , let me know what you think its best.

Yup, performance seems to be in order now.:)

Now its to see if your games stay stable with it, other than that its looks good to me.

I assume this is a stop gap/temporary card?
Since you seem to have a rather strong system there.

I gave this gpu to my brother so when he was playing and streaming valorant he told me the game crashed and obs so I gave it a check and I noticed the power consumption being 90w at max and that got me surprised other than the clock being under 1200.

edit: testing on resident village i still see the power wattage only reaching 90 ish but im guessing its okay? other than that the core clock is finally staying at 1244 as it should.

To be honest I never really payed attention to the wattage, don't really trust those software power consumption displays too much.
As long as its keeping the boost clock around 1200+ stable and no crashes its all good imo.

At least this is how I've been using the card for ~2 and half years and so far its still working fine.
Checked with Afterburner now and I also get 90-110W readings but eh, like I said I don't really trust them to be too accurate anyway.

But yea, I'm glad its working better now since I also spent a fair ammount of time trying to figure out whats going on after I bought this card and then fixing it. 'gosh that profile reset thing was a headache'

You are welcome. :)

Btw thats nice of you to troubleshoot the card for your bro, I can't even ask for a piece of hardware from my bro when I'm troubleshooting my own PC when it has some issues. 'He can't be arsed to take anything out of his system to borrow me'

I assume the driver reset thing could be fixed but I kinda ran out of ideas.
That thing likes to conflict with bunch of stuff, I only listed what was my case.

Yeah I can only think that amd software doesnt like msi afterburner

edit: one thing i would like to know about your voltages configuration, why did you modified the other values ? aka stage 2,3,4,5
i thought you said only to modify the stage 7 alone.

Call I've pretty much exhausted the BIOS database for your card and I've only found two files that may work however you would have to change the device ID / subsystem ID available to get the higher TDP and higher power limit otherwise it is the aorus bios that you would need

I actually did not, those are the default values in the driver for my card if I press set everything back to default.
Only modified state 7 on my own since thats what I need, card always worked just fine outside of gaming so I did not touch those just in case I risk stability.

so like "transform" the gpu into another edition of the gigabyte ? like from gaming to aorus so to speak

aaaaaaaaah! well i checked on my stock settings and the values are different from yours in those stages thats why i asked you bout them, so i modified them because i thought you modified them as well.

No, you will try the other gaming bios but there is a risk involved, if you have a spare gpu or igp/apu that will help with a failed bios flash recovery. I will need yo look through and see what doesnt have under 90W

Do not flash until i have whats needed and that you have a backup plan.

I meant until you have whats needed and a backup plan.

I would suggest trying this file first since the device ID and SSID has F7 (which matches your gaming hynix 1244 card)

well i have my pc andd my brother pc at the same house, and neither of the pcs have igpu so i would have to use my gtx 980 incase something goes wrong with his rx 570, so your suggestion is to flash the bios of the rx570 with the first one you linked on this message, correct? why would something go wrong though? just trying to get ahead of things.

There is always a risk of a bios flash failing, whether it be sudden power loss or ram problems.

hi there guys, i recently noticed a few things with this graphic card and i found it to be odd considering that is suppose to have a tdp of 150w, but according to msi afterburner and gpu z is not that case at all.
the bios version that i have is this, according to gpu z: 0.15.050.002.001.000000
so whats going on here? i thought this card was suppose to draw more power than 90w alone.
is there anything i can do about it? i recently noticed that ive been having crashes on valorant from time to time.
also have to mention this but this card has been RMA before because it died at one point under a thunderstorm but its suppose to be fixed so i dont understand why the limit.
my system specs:

gpu: GV-RX570GAMING-4GD
AMD Radeon RX570/REV1.1 (according to thee gpu box)
https://valid.x86.fr/qt2gp9 (thanks cpuz)
power suply xpg pylon 750w bronze

if you need anything else please let me know.
Board power limit is not the same measurement as TDP. My RX 570 has a power limit of 160W according to GPUz but a TDP of 195W.

Tdp is for the cooling solution,

Power limit is how much voltage X current the card can draw max from the psu.

I understand, but I've seen a lot of threads where people confuse the TDP of their cards with the power limit shown in gpuz and think there's a problem.

Yeah we clarified that in the end the issue is that for some reason the Rx 570 gaming from gigabyte are using a 90w board limit, and I'm certain when I got this card s few years back used to get around 140/150w with no issues, gonna have to assume that because of that my gpu died at one point during a thunderstorm (even though the PC never shutdown ) so I turned it off and then when u turned it back on I had no video at all and the fans were going crazy, sent it to rma and got it fixed, without ever realizing that the card could no longer get any higher until now that I gave this gpu to my brother, that's pretty much the story front this card.

If other Gigabyte Rx 570s have the same board power limit what is the problem, I guess I'm not understanding.

If other Gigabyte Rx 570s have the same board power limit what is the problem, I guess I'm not understanding.
Didn't used to originally ? That's the problem

Not only that, but it doesn't even get to 1244mz on core clock unless I add more power watt, to the power limit which it shouldn't need to and that's it.

I think it did though. I'm seeing other people with the same "problem" on the internet. I think the confusion isn't helped by the specs on the official website not giving the power draw, only TDP and recommended PSU wattage. The official site doesn't say, so the TPU page for it doesn't show it.

Their database also has the tdp wrong on my card:

According to Sapphire, the TDP is 195W. Your manual likewise doesn't state a board power limit/draw. So take those numbers with a grain of salt depending on where they're coming from, and def don't start flashing bios to fix a problem that likely doesn't exist. The bios says 90W, as the second post in this thread points out.

Different internal skus and memory is the clue

Use this bios
