Hi, I hope someone can help me here. I dont know what to do. I bought a RX 570 4 days ago, and it turns off when it reaches 60 degrees. Everything works fine, the graphics, games, benchs but when I reach 60° it turns off.
I play Dota 2, CsGO and GTA V sometimes and for now these games are not going above 55 degrees, but I know that this card should go above 60 degrees without crashing. Some videos on youtube even reaches 80!

If someone knows what can I do, i would be very grateful. I dont know another forum where I can post this.

PC specs:
System Configuration
Motherboard: Asus H110m-A-D3
CPU: i5 6400
PSU: GameMax 550w 80 plus bronze
System Memory: 1x8 gb 800mhz
GPU (VBIOS): MSI ARMOR RX 570 (i dont know how to see the oter)
OS (Version): Windows 7 x64 (Version: 19041.264)
Driver: Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.2 Radeon Software
Settings: Standar
Steps to Reproduce
Play whatever to get 60 grades. Profit, it will show grey screen when it reaches 60°.

someone? :(

Are the fans functioning on the RX 570?
Using MSI Afterburner, increase power limit by 10% at least and try gaming, if it still grey screens increase a bit more up to 50% max.

Are you sure its not coincidence? Perhaps your PSU can't handle the load.

Is that a NEW card or USED?

I had to manually make the fans work since 20centigrades -30% and 100% at 50 centigrades to make sure it doesnt reach 60 centigrades.
Why would the power limit would be the limit if it cant go above 60 centigrades? I will try this anyway but if u can explain to me why would be great

Can u explain to me why it wouldnt be able to had the load? I think 550w plus bronze should be enough for this gpu, but it is also the most common "solution" that people gave me in different forums. I´ll see if I can test this gpu on another computer, but the problem is that my friends only play with integrated graphics so I dont think they have a better PSU.

RX 500 card shutting down at 60c is unheard of.

Bad PSUs tend to cause lockups under load (gaming) and some vendors publish fake specifications.

If the card is new, try it in another PC.

If its used, make sure the heatsink is properly installed.

Might want to check for dust, it may not be due to the GPU getting to 60c but the ram chips or even the VRM's getting to hot.

GPU-Z can give you all the info on the temps and it can log the data. In fact run GPU-Z and make sure it's logging and when it crashes check the log, but you might want to try getting the dust out of it first.

Temp might be limited by the Bios, but there were reports of cards requiring more power to overcome this grey screen issue.
More power generally equates to more heat, the minimum TDP should be around 80C and the card should not throttle or even freeze before then.

alright, but I dont know how to "increase power limit by 10% at least and try gaming, if it still grey screens increase a bit more up to 50% max". I m not sure if its safe.
I dont want to ruin it even more or even lose it permanetly.

Srry for my english, not my native language.

So what about your PC's's performance when the GUI temperature is approaching 60 degrees? Is it slow?

You thinking if it's slow that the cooler might of come loose or incorrectly installed ?.

Sounds possible, i have had them come loose before.
