hey guys

had the card less than a year now.....rx470 strix.
this has only just happened the last couple of days.

it happens randomly.
a system restart will sort it then the problem comes back.

Dont worry guys i have sorted it now.

it was "AMD ReLive: Host Application" causing the issue.

it was turnt off in the amd app but still running in task manager.

so disabled that.sorted

now need to prevent it from running again

Find out what file it relates to in task manager- if possible turn it off there or open services.msc find the related service there, disable it. Bear in mind did you recently update drivers?

yes latest drivers are installed -18.2.1.

this all happened before latest drivers were installed aswell.

pc is running fine as we speak
after a restart the 2 processes that i ended before are back

AMD Relive:host application
AMD Relive:desktop overlay

Relive is disabled in the radeon settings as i stated before
i do have afterburner running also

thinking afterburner maybe conflicting with amd settings maybe

May I ask why are you using MSI afterburner when adrenalin has everything you need?

only for the fan control really

thats it
Honestly I would get rid of afterburner and ddu your driver and then reinstall the video driver. AMD adrenaline has a nice fan option within the driver.

I've seen numerous reports of MSI afterburner not working well with amd drivers.

Just a bit of inside info on the RX400 series cards, there's a few issues the RTG Dev's are ironing out with some issues with these drivers/cards so keep an eye out for public betas that'll be out soon enough.

ah ok

thanks for the heads up
