RX580 32 watt at idle !

Hello is this is ok for an rx580 sapphire 8gb pulse to draw 32 watt at idle with 1 monitor and no load at all ?



Ps.Fans are on 0 rpm mode ! .

This GPU should idle around 15W:

Please attach a screenshot of the monitoring tab of GPU-Z. Also, make sure you're not running web browsers or any other applications (e.g. a video player) which might be using your GPU in background.

You have windows open with transparency effect so its not really "idle".

Should be 13w for single display and 39w for multi-monitor.

well can't do that ): even if its 30 watt is it dangerous or just power bill xD?

xD im using 1 75hz, I had an power color one drew around 5 watts

Switch it to 60 Hz and power should go down to 15 W or similar. Known problem on AMD, has been for a decade or so

i'm running radeon vii 2560x1440 @ 144Hz idling at 18-ish Watt
