RX6800 "Out of signal" display when Win boot

Hi
I have a RADEON RX 6800 XT MBA 16GB GDDR6 GRAPHICS CARD bought off FB so out of warranty.
The issue I have is that it is functional (although only display port 1), however when I attempt to install the drivers,
(with or even without the AMD software), it causes the display monitor to go out of signal on all ports,
halfway through set up and also when windows tries to boot. If I go into safe mode it works fine.
I've tried uninstalling all the drivers via safe mode with DDU to ensure everything has been removed,
then attempted to reinstall them (still in safe mode) and it still causes the same issue. I've tried flashing BIOS.
I've also tried changing monitors and two different PCs with Win 10, with different OS (Ubuntu) and it still always causes the same issue.
I've come to the conclusion that it must be a hardware issue, since I've tried lots of different systems and workarounds.
I've been in touch with Sapphire customer support and have tried their suggestions but no solution.
They then suggested it was a hardware failure.
These are the GPU details
1. P/N 102d4120900000001
2. SKU 21305-01
3. Serial number Z204800000380
My Motherboard MSI MAG B550M Mortar WiFi
and power supply Super flower Leadex 850W.
Could you assist me? Or even is there a UK based repair team I could send it to?
Thanks

Sorry misused the BSOD (changed title now). What I meant to say was I get a BLACK screen, "Out of Signal" display monitor. There are no stop codes or anything showing when this happens.
When going into Win Event log, at the time log of installing the drivers I find this error:

411 Kernel-PnP

If it acts the same on 2 different PCs and monitors, then yes: this does sound like hardware failure.

You said you bought it via FB, so 2nd hand card, yes?
Maybe the other person tried to flash the vBIOS and bricked the card.
(or it could indeed just be hardware failure)

You could at least try to reflash the vBIOS - I think.
I am no expert on vBIOS flash, but maybe @eidairaman1 can help.

yh I came to that conclusio, I tried reflashing, but nothing changed.
But Im unsure of the Bios version I used bc the details for it are the same apart from the P/N number 113-D4120900-101 and on my card its 102-d4120900-000001
When I got the card it had bios from this site, so dont know if the previous owner used wrong version.

These are bios which are compstible with your gpu.

I would suggest you update your motherboard bios, stop overclocking tools (reset them) run at dtock for now.

It is very likely a bad BIOS, a common problem with cross flashing is that certain display outputs stop working and things go weirder when drivers are installed
I noticed that serial says its a 6800 and not a 6800XT, is that the issue here? crossflashed to XT and failed?

flash this to it?

You keep alternating between 6800 and 6800XT, they do use different BIOS so i need to be sure whats going on there

Its the 6800 founder edition, not the xt (typo in the original post).
Ive tried the BIOS above but nothing has changed. Im not even sure these are the correct ones even then, because some of the numbers are unmatched.

Founders is an nvidia thing, unless you meant a reference card?

Your numbers do seem to match this card (you havent given us pictures of the card)
AMD Radeon RX 6800 16G GDDR6 (sapphiretech.com)

If flashing the BIOS doesnt allow the driver to install, the card is likely dead

Oops yeah dont do the xt bios.

These bios are compatible with your card.

I say the card was damaged and the only reason why its sold on fakebook

@malekakis89 please stop buying stuff on fakebook, stick to amazon and ebay where you have a guarantee you will get your money back from amazon/ebay (like insurance- they go after the vendor of product)

Ok does anyone know of a tech support here in the uk who could repair the card? Ive spoken to Sapphire and theyve said that as its a hardware I should approach Overclockers (who according to their records are the original supplier), but they have refused to take it on as theres no proof of purchase.
More than happy to pay for it to be repaired out of warranty, just dont know of anyone here who would do it.
Thanks for all the tips/advice btw.

By doing things OEMs refuse to do sometimes for some cash, fledge out their business model.

I eventually want to do a laptoo/pc repair with small engine repair.

I only do hardware modding, I do not repair for the public, sorry.

EDIT: @OP When dealing with a suspected fault always use "driver only" install from the options.

EDIT2: @OP You have somekind of display output, is your motherboard BIOS up-to-date.

I'm from Romania so I can't help out.

If you can't update the BIOS by using another graphic card (with both of the cards installed), you should find someone in UK that at least could desolder the BIOS chip and write a new BIOS, solder it back (or mount a socket), then test out the card. It is not rocket science. Anyway, to desolder the BIOS chip from such a card, some tools are required. You might do it with a regular soldering iron but it is kind of risky. A BIOS programmer like the MiniPRO/XGecu TL866(A)/II is pretty cheap.

Maybe it has a HW fault and not just a BIOS issue.

Good luck!

In most cases I use external hardware when rewriting firmware. If OP has problems writing to BIOS then I recommend CH341A programmer "with clip". ..Armed with this tool you can flash your hardware as many times as you want with no fear of bricking it..

EDIT: @OP Warranty is tied to the card, not the owner of the card. ...Are you sure it's out of warranty?
