Unexpected i bought a gtx 1080

I have a ryzen 5 1600 at 3.9ghz (less than 1.400 volt) 16gb 3200mhz cl 14 ram and 2 monitors, 60 hz 2560x1440 and a 100hz 3440x1440 monitor.

Have had gtx 980/1060 6gb performance for about 3½ year an just a few weeks a gtx 1070, now on singles day it was time to really upgrade, upgrade to a gtx 1080.

Will my ryzen be good enough for a gtx 1080? I know intel is better for gaming but im planing on upgrading to ryzen 2 in mabye 6 month, a few month after it's been relased or if the prize of a 6 core is the same as now i might upgrade earlier.

Is my corsair RM550X good enough (most concern about the noise the RM650X is a little better, up to 425-450 noise should be about the same)

i'm not sure if you're confirmed to get the 1080 or you're deciding on it

you have a 1070? well what are the benchmarks? are you dipping below 60fps at any point where gpu usage is below 100%?

if you're upgrading in 6 months, why does it matter?

You are more than OK no matter what GPU you put in your PC. That's the best thing for Ryzen path. Upgradability. Later on, Ruzen+ and Ryzen 2 will come around to cover any future GPU upgrade. And since the monitor resolutions tend to get bigger, GPU will be more of a bottleneck later on.

My spec's are updated

Im gonna upgrade to ryzen 2 (or ryzen + ) in mabye 6 month or when ever ryzen 2 (or ryzen +) comes out since i expect amd to focus more on gaming performance to handle the compition from coffee lake

I had a short flirt with a gtx 1070, as mentioned my spec are updated, i have a gtx 1060 6gb

I don't understand, you've now owned half the product portfolio of 2017 and you still don't know or want to upgrade in 6 months?

You went from a 1070 to a 1060 and now consider a 1080?

Please make sense?
