after an year struggling in yakuza 2 this problem alr solved by ryzen 2600, after upgrade iam pretty much satisfied, now i can enjoy playing yakuza in fullhd 75hz stable, even under full of crowding stage, its still 75fps l,well sometimes it drop but never lower than 70 tho hehe, dispute my previous 2200g can be drop to 50fps, and i see the gap quite alot, with this 2600 i can hit 130fps no cap in fullhd ultra, while the 2200g only hit 90fps, so my impression is huge performance gain yes:D
oke so backtop point, i do ocing the clock to 3.9ghz at 1.33v/1.36v, i think the 1.33v is more stable one, wonder if i can push more performance, let me know if you guys get better clock setup thx:D

2600 , go for 4.1ghz under 1.4v if possible will have more fps.

Clock memory speed fast to 3600mhz with cl16-16-16 will bring crazy performance more if can run 3800mhz
Make more fps you have need to be overclocking fast speeds.

Now you go faster.

No screen shot no fun.
Bring fun cinebench and aida64 memory and cache benchamrks and put cpuz and temp thermals.

Some total system specs for eyes to know more about the rig.

oh oke will try ocing again, anyway sadly my b350 doesnt suport higher clock than 3400mhz, so i stick with old klevv 3ghz hehe, i make & post benchmark firestrik/cinebench soon:)

We still want to tweak memory for better performance at whatever speed you currently run it is ok.

66 under load? Gaming? If so that's a pretty solid OC for a 2600.

What cooler are you using? That temps seems high for a Ryzen CPU.

i used 2200g stock cooler hehe, it seems i cant reach 4.1ghz stable, try on 1.41v crash, on 1.38v enter window but soon after playing game crash too, now im stick with 3.9ghz 1.26v, will try again tommorow:)

Interesting that is why you are not getting a good OC. You should look for a nice cheap cooler like the Arctic 33 CPU cooler. Or if you want get a 120 (meh) or 240MM AIO.

whats the temp limit of this cpu? i notice it raise to 80c at 4ghz 1.38v, maybe that cause the crash, well if that so i may consider to pay for cpu cooler:)
anyway 3.9ghz at 1.28v pretty much good too, performance & temp is nice:)

I honestly can't tell you but I think it is 84C. Getting a new cooler would allow you to achieve those speeds with lower voltage. For me your chip sounds like a 1600 instead of a 2600 with those voltages and temps.

That cooler is not even for that chip , and was crap for its original chip, get a better HSF something like an Evo 212 , enable Pbo and it will clock itself to 4.1-2.

You may have just gotten lucky none of the R5 2600s I worked with were all that great and needed much more voltage than a 2600X to hit the same frequencies.

Silicon lottery needed 1.375v for all its 2600X which are better binned to hit 4.1ghz

They like to run cool for sure.
The chart above is a decent round about voltage deal at X frequency.
The chart seems far off to me, but my water Delta is 8c vs the average user.

Hotter they run the more it leaks, the more voltage it uses. Crzy Ill effectages.

Getting better cooling if you could target and achieve 4.1ghz.... But if not able, then 3.9ghz is good.
Kool thermals, less fan noise. :D

I've had mine for about an year now, does its job perfectly fine. I'm personally going to skip the 3000 series and wait for Zen3 until I upgrade for something faster.

I really really really came close to a 2600/x. Super close. Got my 2700x on a newegg bundle deal. Glad I did.
It leaves the 3600x unjustifiable to think about purchasing, and the 3700x is too much for little gains.

Could easily get a few years from 2600/2700 processors. The IPC is decent enough, core/thread count is there.

20 years ago, I wasn't even imagining 16 threads on the desktop lol.

Poor man's 2600 owner here, ie 1600 AF. Running at 4.0 ghz. I sold my 2400g for $88 plus shipping costs ($105 total) and picked up the 1600 af shipped for $85, so I made $3 on the upgrade :p

When I did my upgrade (from an i7-2600K), I considered getting the R5 2600 instead of the 2600X. I ultimately got the 2600X because I knew that Zen+ overclocking is weird and I didn't really want to manually OC.

With PBO off and a -0.1v VCore offset, it has no problem hitting 4.1-4.2GHz on its own. With my Cryorig R1 Ultimate, temperatures max out in the low-to-mid 60s when gaming, and 3D rendering can push it into the low 70s.

Curious how memory tweaking goes for you. Every time I've tried to tweak my timings, either they just get reset when it boots into Windows, or my system doesn't POST.

As much as I loved my 2600 I bought it "back in the day" thinking about possible Zen 2 upgrade.
And so I did.
Planning to use my 2600 for a mini itx build though.

Hey Potato...

:rockout: Glad to see you got a Ryzen 5 2600! :rockout:

We started on the same path. I had a Ryzen 3 2200g to start with and I worked my way up to the 2600/RX 580 Pulse combo I'm currently using. Couldn't be happier with my system. I just can't believe that something this powerful can run this quiet. Never heats up, never gives me any hassles....just keeps on going. Works perfectly....all day long.

I will mention...I've never overclocked my system. I never felt the need for a speed increase. From day one, I cranked my memory up to 2933 MHz and left everything else alone. Keeps my cpu running nice and cool.

Again...couldn't be happier.... :),
