This processor a Ryzen 7 3700X with a locked multiplier, basically. It should perform like a stock, untweaked 3700X.

I've never really encountered any of AMD's pro chips outside of a laptop, but I thought they behaved identically to their non-pro counterparts unless they were plugged into an OEM motherboard with the relevant TPM and firmware to enable everything.

Some software may report it as unlocked, but in reality, it isn't. My laptop's 5600H works in a similar way. It's reported as unlocked in HWiNFO64, but Ryzen Master doesn't work with it at all. PBO2 Tuner (tool that 5800X3D owners are using to tweak) might, but I doubt it. It's Zen 2.

What you are seeing (maximum multiplier of 44x) is by design, your motherboard might be able to force it on all cores though at which point it's all it really needs to do

There's no curve optimizer functionality for Zen 2, I believe. Though, PBO should be a thing.

Officially, the maximum multiplier should be 44, and in bursts only. These OEM-only Pro chips can only usually be gotten from eBay or Aliexpress so most of us don't really have a first hand experience with them, so I couldn't tell if that's just AMD talking or if the limits are actually enforced. Might be your C6H going off-spec here, perhaps. With an updated BIOS, it was a good board, I used to have one.

In regards to the security features, standard Ryzen processors also support them all.

Even the 5800 (oem) 5700X(retail same cpu) are unlocked

But now we have conflicting information. AMD's own page for this SKU says the multiplier is locked, CPU-World says it isn't. I guess it must not really be because AMF can apparently change it, which must be an oversight by AMD's part, I guess?

Well there are testers and not all cpus are unlocked either, that page has the listing of what is and what isn't it tells me the uefi does unlock some and others it can't.

I have the second generation in one of my servers and it runs cool and works fine powering all my VMs.

Boost Clock

Multiplier is locked in bios, meaning I can't manually change the multiplier to a higher number than stock to overclock manually, other than that Boost clock works fine.

best of all i can set pbo and xfr so it boosts from the multiplier i set just need to keep her cool... and cool n quiet works with it as well
