me and my brothers hooked up the computer of my little brother to the tv with a gamepad. Ever since, fps have been a lot lower than they were on the vga. also, with emulators it'll say the fps are 60, but ati tray tools reports them as 20-30 fps! is this related to svideo? also, 3dmark01 dropped from 5500 to 4500 on this computer.

I think this is because the graphics card (and drivers) have to continuously process "Hydravision", which allows for multiple displays (or displays on television).

it happens during s video in use, but i havnt tested it with normal vga yet. I know it was fine before i plugged it into the tv, but i havnt since dragged it back to the vga. also, how can i disable Hydravision having it all go to svideo?

Check Vsync and your refresh rate.

TV= 30fps
Monitors = 60-200hz (60+fps)

Vsync off will probably fix your problem.

but would that explain the lower 3dmark score?3d mark runs above 30 fps much of the time
