Mueez Deen, director of graphics for the U.S. semiconductor unit of Samsung, said Monday that the company has begun high-volume manufacturing of a 512-megabit graphics DDR3 memory chip for use in game consoles and PCs.
These chips are destined for use in Xbox360s, Playstation3s and Video Cards for computers, such as the based on Nvidia's graphics processing chip due out this week, said McCaron.
