Samsung SSD goes offline once every few days - forced to rebuild RAID 1

I have a couple of Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB drives in RAID 1. Every few days (and occasionally few hours) one of them "goes offline". I have to keep shutting down and rebuilding the array in AMD's RaidXpert.

I'm sure there is a specific cause to this problem. I can not easily replace this drive (they're getting replaced by 2TB NVMe drives in due time any way) though I would like to stop having this problem waste my time. Thoughts please?

Replace the drive - you let Samsung worry about if they have enough 1TB drives to replace it with.

You didn't say you were on the newest FIRMWARE? Depends on production date, there were internal revisions. (? 3 different internals on the 850 EVO)

This drive is not supported.

I presume you suggested Crystal Disk Info in regards to SMART status which AMD RaidXpert is able to report while in RAID mode which is healthy.

I am curious about DevSleep, sounds like something that might disconnect the drive from the system in specific circumstances?

What is that "drive not supported?

Do you have another PC to put that drive in. (drive needs to be internal, will not update in a docking station)
Bios setting cannot be in RAID mode, needs to be in SATA or AHCI mode.

You may need to wipe drive with Magician "secure wipe" , Flash new Firmware and reload to your liking.

Replace the cable to the drive first, and swap power connectors, then try different ports on the board to ensure its not anything outside the drive.
